A new set of Honkai: Star Rail 2.2 leaks have revealed some of the upcoming content, and it may hint at a worrying update for a portion of players. Version 2.2 is set to continue the story set in Penacony and conclude the main story arc in the Planet of Festivities. So far, there have been many rumors about the next patch, including a leaked Trailblazer form in Honkai: Star Rail 2.2 that may operate as a support unit. There have also been leaks regarding the gameplay kits for the confirmed new characters, Robin and Boothill.
While most leaks tend to focus on playable characters, there have been some alleged updates on upcoming content. According to leaks shared by HomDGCat on Reddit, there are several new and returning events being added to Version 2.2, including updated versions of Hanu’s mini-game and the Hamster Ball Knight activity. Based on the leak alone, there should be a good amount of gameplay content in Honkai: Star Rail 2.2, although that may not actually be too exciting for a significant portion of the turn-based RPG’s players.

Players Report Issues With Certain Mini-Games On Their Platforms

As seen in multiple answers by users in that same Reddit post, it seems like the leaked return of Hanu’s mini-game and the Hamster Ball event, even in their upgraded forms, is not pleasant news. According to reports from those players, some of these game modes are not too beloved by them, and the reason behind that is because of the platform on which they are being run. Currently, Honkai: Star Rail is available for PC, mobile, and PlayStation 5 consoles.
"A large portion of the next patch has already leaked."
However, these two returning mini-games are said to not work well on mobile devices. The input system for their commands is different, and the users mention that there are problems with the button scheme. Other players complain about lag with these specific game modes on their mobile phones, as well as major drops in FPS (frames per second) during the mini-games. It is uncertain if the rumored returning events in Honkai: Star Rail 2.2 will come with fixes to address these reported problems.
If the performance issues are fixed, then the overall experience of controlling Hanu or the Hamster Ball may be improved on mobile devices.

A large portion of the next patch has already leaked and it is only a matter of time before the Version 2.2 livestream occurs, confirming or debunking a lot of the ongoing rumors. The turn-based RPG is at its best moment with Version 2.1, but it could be better once Honkai: Star Rail optimizes issues that have been afflicting players, regardless of their chosen platforms.
