Eiyuden Chronicles brings a massive JRPG experience, Another Crab's Treasure is a unique souls-like, and Manor Lords offers medieval strategy fun.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to exciting Day-One releases making April a month full of gaming joy.

Microsoft has unveiled the next selection of games coming to Xbox Game Pass in April and while all six new entries will no doubt please subscribers, three in particular are already shaping up to be massively popular. To make up for the fact that several popular titles like 7 Days To Die, Besiege, and EA Sports NHL 22 are leaving the service at month's end, players need not stress as the replacements that will be joining the platform in the near future are cause for celebration. What's even better is that there of them are Day-One releases.

Announced on Xbox's official blog, Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes arrives on Game Pass on April 23, the same day it releases on other platforms and the adorable indie souls-like Another Crab's Treasure debuts just a couple of days after on April 25. Round out the month, the highly-anticipated medieval strategy game Manor Lords charges onto the service on April 26 as a Game Preview, which is Xbox's version of Early Access. Aside from the aforementioned trio, consumers can also anticipate Orcs Must Die 3 (April 17), EA Sports NHL 24 (April 18) and Have A Nice Death (April 30).

Xbox Game Pass's Biggest Games For The Second Half Of April

Starting with arguably the biggest Game Pass release of the back half of April, Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes is a JRPG inspired by the classic Suikoden series as players can assemble a party from a massive cast of over a hundred unique characters. Developed by Rabbit & Bear Studios, the game sports a gorgeous art style that combines detailed 2D sprites with gorgeous 3D environments and boasts an expansive roster of enemies to battle. The most-funded Kickstarter video game of 2020 is sure to devour hours of players' lives.

On a completely different note, Another Crab's Treasure is an adorable souls-like that ditches the grim-dark aesthetic of the genre as players take control of Kril, a hermit crab who desperately wants to recover his repossessed shell. A challenging yet not overly punishing combat style united with a unique vision of the world makes this undersea adventure stand out amongst many games that have tried to emulate Dark Souls and its sequels. Newcomers and genre veterans alike should keep their eyes on this indie gem.

Finally, Xbox Game Pass is playing host to the early access version of Manor Lords, a sprawling strategy game that includes city building and management, large-scale battles, and a plethora of unique economic and social systems to master. Designed to both streamline the process of creating a city and still offer complex management mechanics, Slavic Magic's game is ideal for those who want to be in control of their own medieval world. It's already one of the most wishlisted games on Steam, so having it on Xbox Game Pass is obviously very exciting.
