The 4-star characters in Genshin Impact 4.6 banners have been leaked and, if the information provided is true, the chosen characters with increased drop rates actually make a lot of sense. Version 4.6 is arriving soon and most of its upcoming content has already been confirmed by HoYoverse. The new characters in Genshin Impact 4.6, the 5-star units featured in banners, story quests, events, and much more have already been showcased during the official livestream. In fact, the presentation confirmed a lot of the content that had previously leaked. The main focus, however, was on Arlecchino.

Arlecchino’s release has been highly anticipated for nearly an year. The Fatui Harbinger known as The Knave has been expected as a playable character since before Fontaine, the region in which she was introduced as an NPC. Now, her time has finally arrived, as the release of Arlecchino in Genshin Impact 4.6 is confirmed. She will star in the Phase 1 banners alongside her child, Lyney, another 5-star Pyro DPS character. The only thing missing from the Version 4.6 livestream was the reveal of the 4-star characters with increased drop rates, but that may have changed with new leaks.

All Three 4-Star Characters In Genshin Impact 4.6’s Phase 1 Have Leaked

Rumored Units Do Not Come Across As A Major Surprise

According to information leaked by 珊瑚宮我 and shared by HXG, as seen in a post on Reddit, the three 4-star characters that will appear in Arlecchino’s banner and, therefore, Lyney’s banner during Phase 1 will be Lynette, Freminet, and Chevreuse. This has not yet been confirmed by developer HoYoverse and may change before release, but it does seem very likely for two distinct yet highly justifiable reasons.

The first of them is that Lynette and Freminet are Lyney’s siblings, and the trio are Arlecchino’s children from the House of the Hearth in Genshin Impact’s Fontaine region. Thematically, having Lynette, Freminet, and Lyney all appear with increased drop rates alongside Arlecchino’s debut is mostly a flavor move – Lyney and Freminet are main DPS units that would conflict with Arlecchino in a team comp.

Lynette, on the other hand, is a good Anemo support unit that fits a team comp with Arlecchino and Lyney, helping Swirl their Pyro attacks and trigger Elemental Reactions with other units, while also aiding in Energy Regeneration. Although all of them do not synergize too well, they are a family, and having them in the same Genshin Impact banner is understandable.

Freminet is also a main DPS unit, though he specializes in Physical DMG rather than Cryo DMG, even if he has a Cryo Vision.

Chevreuse’s Rumored Addition To Phase 1 Banners In Genshin Impact 4.6 Is Perfect

4-Star Character Can Significantly Boost Arlecchino & Lyney’s Powers

Chevreuse, in contrast, does not match the banners thematically other than the fact that she is from the region of Fontaine, but her rumored addition as one of the 4-star units in Phase 1 actually makes a lot of sense. She does not add extra flavor to the banner composition, but Chevreuse is a perfect choice to accompany both Arlecchino and Lyney. The captain of Fontaine’s Special Security unit is a Pyro support unit with sub-DPS capabilities that boosts Overloaded Reactions. Chevreuse is indispensable in team comps that have Overloaded as their main source of damage.

The offensive bonuses she gives to this specific type of Elemental Reaction are enormous, and, if the leaks are true, her choice for the Phase 1 banners was deliberate. If Chevreuse is, in fact, having her pull rates in Genshin Impact boosted with Arlecchino and Lyney banners in Version 4.6, it seems like HoYoverse is pushing players toward optimizing their gameplay styles and trying to get them to deal the highest amount of damage possible. This is not the first time something like this has happened.

When Chevreuse first debuted as a playable character in Version 4.3, it was not a coincidence. The Genshin Impact 4.3 Phase 2 banners with Chevreuse made a lot of sense, too, as Chevreuse was accompanying reruns of Raiden Shogun and Yoimiya, one of the most reliable Electro units and a powerful Pyro DPS, respectively. The fact that she buffs Overloaded Reactions and was included in a Phase where Overloaded was in the spotlight with an Electro and a Pyro unit was not coincidental.

For reference, Overloaded is an Elemental Reaction triggered when Pyro and Electro interact with one another.

Surely, this time, there is no 5-star Electro damage dealer in the spotlight with the banner structure in Phase 1 or even Phase 2 of Version 4.6. Nevertheless, Chevreuse’s rumored highlight with two Pyro DPS units still makes a lot of sense and seems to hint that Arlecchino will work well in Overloaded team comps, where she will operate as the main Pyro DPS. Based on the confirmed information and the recent leaks, it seems like Genshin Impact 4.6 is shaping up to be a memorable patch.
