Hasbro is celebrating Transformers One with a new Optimus Prime action figure, and Screen Rant has a first look. Transformers One is an upcoming animated prequel for the Transformers film franchise with an all-star cast and a story set to bring even more depth to the live-action films. The movie was directed by Josh Cooley, whose writing work includes Toy Story 4 and Inside Out, and written by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari, who co-wrote Ant-Man and The Wasp.

Though Optimus Prime will have a different name in Transformers One, the prequel will explore how they become the character we know them to be. For Transformers collectors and film franchise fans alike, Hasbro’s Studio Series Deluxe 112 Optimus Prime is sure to add to the number of exciting things about Transformers One, and the action figure has all the trademarks of a classic Transformers product. This 4.5-inch action figure transforms between its robot and Cybertronian truck modes in 25 steps. It also comes complete with two shoulder pipes, a dual-barrel blaster, and an Energon axe, all of which can attach in both modes.

Paired with its removable backdrop, this Optimus Prime action figure can be used to recreate the Metropolis of Iacon scene from Transformers One. The movie takes place on Cybertron, offering fans of the film franchise a look at what is known to be lost by the time those movies take place. Transformers One not only takes place on Cybertron but is set to show the destruction the war between the Autobots and Decepticons causes on the planet.

Brian Tyree Henry (Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire) will voice Megatron, Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) plays Elita, Keegan Michael-Key (Schmigadoon) is Bumblebee, Jon Hamm (Mad Men) voices Sentinel Prime, Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix) is Alpha Trion, and Optimus Prime will be voiced by Chris Hemsworth (Thor: Love and Thunder).
