Warning: Contains manga spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen.
Summary Kirara and Hakari are a rare canon couple in Jujutsu Kaisen, showing subtle signs of affection and implied romance.
Sukuna x Cinderella is a weirdly popular crack ship that brings two different worlds together with creative fan lore.
Hana's touching backstory sets up a possible romance with Megumi in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Despite being primarily action-oriented, Jujutsu Kaisen has inspired many fan pairings and ships over the years, many of which fans can't help rooting for regardless of their chances. Though Jujutsu Kaisen's creator Gege Akutami rarely broaches the subject of love and romance, the series' strong characterization and unique cast make it impossible not to imagine possible relationships between the characters.
Thus, not only are shōnen anime no exception when it comes to shipping, but they can often ignite the most aggressive shipping wars among fans. Jujutsu Kaisen's fans are nothing if not passionate, so the series has many fan-made ships and non-confirmed canon ships, some incredibly popular, some completely outrageous, and others that are deceptively cute.

10 Kirara x Hakari Are A Rare Canonical Couple
Commonly abbreviated as "HaKira"
Though they may not be the most popular ship among fans, Hakari and Kirara are one of the few couples seen in the Jujutsu Kaisen. Though the series never explicitly says so, it is all but implied that Kirara and Hakari are dating as seen from their usual proximity to each other. The pair is first introduced in chapter #153, where they are seen lounging together on a couch rather comfortably with Hakari's arm wrapped around Kirara.
The final nail in the coffin is perhaps the instance of Kirara getting upset when Hakari mentions one of his ex-girlfriends, which all but confirms their relationship is far more than simple friendship. Regardless of their popularity, one cannot deny that Kirara and Hakari do look good together and form quite a team as well.
9 Sukuna x Cinderella is Weirdly Popular
Commonly abbreviated as "Sukunella"
Sukuna x Cinderella might just be the weirdest ship to come out of Jujutsu Kaisen's fandom. What's more surprising is the sheer popularity of this crack ship that brings together two very different franchises that no one would have expected to crossover. The main appeal of the ship likely centers around the "opposites attract" phenomenon, though the two do have a few elements in common like their rough childhoods.
The fan lore revolves around Sukuna meeting Cinderella at the ball, falling in love with her, and stealing her away from Prince Charming, even kidnapping her in some versions, which then leads to Cinderella developing Stockholm Syndrome. Avid shippers believe Cinderella could perhaps help Sukuna turn over a new leaf or on the flip side, Sukuna could teach Cinderella to be a little more selfish for a change, making this ship full of possibilities.
Sukuna x Cinderella isn't the only crossover ship between Jujutsu Kaisen and Disney. Some other popular ones include Nanami x Tiana and Gojo x Elsa.
8 Megumi x Hana Has the Perfect Romantic Origin Story
Commonly abbreviated as "FushiRusu"
Hana is another one of the few characters to display romantic feelings in the series. Even though her feelings are one-sided and not reciprocated by Megumi, the pair do have a solid backstory for shippers to build off. Chapter #210 reveals Megumi's Divine Dog saved Hana from a cursed spirit when she was only a child. Though Hana only got a brief glimpse of Megumi at the time, she strongly believed they would meet again, which they eventually did during the Culling Games.
Though this ship may not be as popular as some of Jujutsu Kaisen's other ships, their first meeting certainly has all the makings of a romance waiting to be developed. Megumi and Hana are also perfect polar opposites, with Megumi's Cursed Technique revolving around shadows and darkness and Hana's centered around light and all things angelic. Moreover, Hana seems to be very protective and even slightly possessive of him, often expressing her concern during the battle at Shinjuku. As such, even though Megumi's fate is uncertain at the moment, fans can't help but hope that he might one day reciprocate Hana's feelings.
7 Gojo x Utahime Make the Perfect Bickering Pair
Commonly abbreviated as "GojoHime" or "GoUta"
Gojo x Utahime was one of the most likely ships in the early days of the series. Utahime was introduced very early on during the Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc and seemed to be close to Gojo. The two banter incessantly, making them look like an old married couple. Though Utahime is older than Gojo, nearly all their interactions are characterized by Gojo teasing her, giving the ship a playful tone.
Utahime also only seems to lose her temper around Gojo, which is often a telltale sign of hidden feelings. Despite their bickering, Utahime is one of Gojo's few contemporaries in the series and one of the few people he seems to trust in Jujutsu Kaisen. As such, it makes sense that this ship was one of the more popular ones involving Gojo until Geto came along.
6 Yuta x Maki is Wholesome Through and Through
Commonly abbreviated as "YutaMaki", "OkkoMaki" or "MakiYu"
Yuta x Maki is quite a popular ship among fans of Jujutsu Kaisen that emerged after the release of Volume 0 and then again gained even more supporters after the release of the movie adaptation. Though Maki initially treats Yuta rudely, she does eventually end up developing a sense of respect for him. Yuta too seems to respect and admire Maki greatly which often catches her off-guard.
The pair share many adorable moments, the best being when Yuta tells Maki he wants to be like her, which makes her blush profusely. When Maki gets injured in the fight against Geto, Yuta even asks Rika to be more careful with Maki, likening her to a delicate flower or butterfly. Yuta also seems to bring out a softer side to Maki, proving the ship has the potential for a rather wholesome romance. Though the two haven't had any significant interactions in the present timeline, they are always seen together in the background whenever included in a scene.
5 Yuji x Ozawa Was Never Fully Explored
Commonly abbreviated as "ItaZawa" and "YujiYuko"
Yuko Ozawa is Yuji's former classmate from middle school who appears to have feelings for Yuji. Though seemingly a one-sided crush on Yuko's part, Yuji supposedly treated her very kindly when they were classmates and even instantly recognized her years later, even though her appearance had changed drastically. Yuko's reunion with Yuji highlights his deep kindness and sincerity.
Though the plotline was completely abandoned even in the manga, Yuko had the most potential to be Yuji's love interest if only the relationship were further explored by the series. Yuko was even cut from Jujutsu Kaisen's first season she was later included in season 2, reigniting hopes of her possibly returning towards the end of the series to finally confess her feelings.

4 Nobara x Maki is the Yuri Couple Fans Didn't Know They Needed
Commonly abbreviated as "NobaMaki" and "MakiSaki"
Nobara x Mai is easily the most popular femslash ship in Jujutsu Kaisen, and it isn't difficult to see why. The ship mainly gained popularity after the Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc, during which Nobara defended Maki a number of times when the Kyoto students compared Maki and Mai. Nobara even went as far as to tell Mai that Maki was a hundred times prettier than her right to her face and expressed her respect for Maki on many occasions.
Though their characters seem different on the surface, with Maki being a bit of a tomboy and Nobara being more conventionally girly, they both actually have many traits in common. Both Maki and Nobara and strong, independent, confident, and unapologetically themselves, which makes it hard not to ship them together. The manga also fanned the flames of this ship's popularity with a stunning colored illustration in chapter #63 featuring Nobara and Maki dressed in casual wear standing close to each other much like a couple.
3 Yuki x Choso Have Unexpected Chemistry
Commonly abbreviated as "ChosoYuki"
Despite seeming like the most unlikely pair, Yuki and Choso potentially have some of the best chemistry in the series. The two first properly interact when they team up to protect Master Tengen and form quite a duo against Kenjaku. Though the pair have very few interactions, the ones they do are quite adorable. Interestingly, Yuki twice hints that Choso is her type and the two are even seen all dressed up at a bar on what could only be a date in chapter #208.
Yuki also plays quite a role in Choso's character arc during the brief time they spend together. Choso confides in her about his guilt about the things he's done as a curse and Yuki urges him to live as a human before her death. Though their personalities couldn't be more different, Yuki and Choso form an adorable pair that is impossible not to ship, even though the ship may never set sail.

2 Miwa x Kokichi Deserved to Be Together
Commonly abbreviated as "MechaMiwa"
Initially introduced as classmates and friends, Mechamaru and Miwa's relationship is another one of the few romantic relationships in Jujutsu Kaisen. Miwa has always appeared to care for Kokichi, even wishing to visit him one day, while Kokichi has shown a strong desire to protect her, even willing to betray the rest of jujutsu society to do so.
Despite starting out platonic, Kokichi and Miwa's relationship begins to show signs of romance in season 2, but sadly screeches to a tragic halt just as quickly. Kokichi confesses his love with his final words to Miwa, wishing for her to be happy. His confession makes for one of the saddest deaths in Jujustu Kaisen and has left fans wondering about what could have been ever since.
1 Gojo x Geto Broke Every Fan's Heart
Commonly abbreviated as "SatoSugu"
Gojo x Geto, also referred to as "SatoSugu" is easily the most popular ship in Jujutsu Kaisen and also its most heartbreaking one. Though Geto was introduced in Jujutsu Kaisen 0, it wasn't until the release of season 2, which adapted the Gojo's Past Arc, that fans began to see Geto in a new light and understood who exactly he was and his history with Gojo.
Geto is arguably the only person Gojo ever managed to form a real bond with, which only makes their falling apart even more sad. Though the series never confirms any romantic feelings between the two, it is all but clear to fans that Geto and Gojo were much more than best friends. Gojo even refers to Geto as his "one and only" and has always maintained a soft spot for Geto, even after all these years, which was promptly used against him during the Shibuya Incident.
As such, Geto's death in Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was even more heartbreaking in retrospect when fans realized Gojo was forced to kill the person dearest to him. Many fans held on to hope that the pair could be reunited one day, though perhaps this will only be possible in another universe, as Jujutsu Kaisen has already dashed all chances of this popular ship ever setting sail.
