Boruto Two Blue Vortex Finally Reveals The Meaning Of Its Title
Summary Himawari's is revealed as the key to understanding "Two Blue Vortex."
Himawari finally takes center stage in the series.
Fans are excited to see Himawari's role expand, teaming up with Boruto against new villains.
Ever since the debut of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, fans have been theorizing what the title meant. The series has finally moved away from the Naruto name and finally solidified itself as Boruto's story, but this title serves more than just to distinguish the franchise, but is a foreshadowing of what is to come.
Published first on August 20, 2023, this series is a sequel to Boruto: Naruto Next Generations and is set three years after Boruto was forced to flee Konoha alongside Sasuke due to the consequences of Kawaki hijacking Eida's power of Omnipotence to turn the world against Boruto.
Kishimoto has cemented himself as a fantastic writer and an expert at foreshadowing, and the title definitely means something. Although it puzzled many, the answer has finally been revealed on the preview page of chapter #9, which started circulating online a week before its publication. Many fans translated it, including @Hinaaa_Uzumaki_ on X, showing that Himawari is the key to understanding the meaning of "Two Blue Vortex".

Himawari Plays A Crucial Role In The Story
It was a popular belief that Two Blue Vortex referred to Boruto's two eyes, the undamaged one, and the scarred one that holds the Jougan. It was also thought to refer to his Rasengan, which makes sense given its blue color and its concept of swirling chakra. However, there was no real evidence for these theories and they were mere conjecture. As the preview implies, the second vortex (or spiral) is Himawari.
The Swirling Spiral Of Destiny, Naruto's Beloved Daughter, Uzumaki Himawari.
It makes sense that Himawari is the second Blue Vortex, as she has blue eyes, like Boruto, and Uzumaki means "spiral". She was always hinted at being stronger than thought since the beginning, as she was the youngest person to awaken the Byakugan and had an abnormal strength that knocked out even Naruto. It was finally confirmed that she is a central character in the story when it was revealed that she possesses the Nine-Tails chakra.
