Real-Life BG3 Astarion Shows The Vampire Ready For Combat
Summary A cosplay of Astarion's Drow armor impresses with intricate details and red contacts for a vampiric touch.
The Baldur's Gate 3 community applauds the skill and effort put into recreating one of Astarion's best looks.
Astarion's Drow armor is a fan favorite due to its appearance and stealth bonus.
Out of all the characters in Baldur's Gate 3, Astarion has arguably proven to be the most popular amongst the community and one talented fan is showing off their take on the rouge vampire with a simply staggering cosplay. While his motives may be questionable at the best of times, there's no doubt that his sauve attitude and charisma make up some of Astarion's more questionable ethics. In fact, most players are able to overlook the fact that he's a vampire, even going so far as to join him as a bloodsucking creature of the night.
Highlighting Astarion in Drow Armor, one of the coolest sets in Baldur's Gate 3, user creativelysurviving shared their incredible cosplay on Reddit and the amount of effort that's gone into the build is astonishing.
Not only is the armor set intericatly detailed with leathe leaves across the chest, they've gone the extra mile by using red contacts to evoke the vampire's bloody gaze. While they insist that they're a "nobody cosplayer," it's difficult to understand why that's the case given the sheer amount of skill demonstrated in the outfit.

Astarion's Drow Armor Is One Of His Best Looks
No One Wears It Better
Highlighted with some exceptional pictures by @tight_photography on Instagram, creativelysurviving even nails some of the finer elements of Astarion's aesthetic like the bedraggled white hair and the elegant blade his uses to accomplish his dark deeds. The cosplayer notes that the build took them four months to create given that they largely worked on it over the weekend and the armor itself is mainly made with EVA foam. The community has offered up plenty of praise, with many insisting its one of the best Astarion cosplays they've ever seen.
While many players are likely most familair with Astarion's default outfit, the Drow armor is one of the character's best sets mainly because it just looks great on him. The Drow Studded Armor set can be found in the Underdark after defeating both the Spectator and the Bulette while a similar but more powerful iteration, Spidersilk Armor, is dropped by Minthara if players choose to kill her rather than accept her into the party. Either option looks cool on anyone but the buffs to stealth checks make it especially potent on Astarion.
While development on Baldur's Gate 3 may have finally come to a close after many years of production, there's still a chance that Astarion and Tav's other party members could return in the future. Given that Wizards of the Coast has retained the rights to the characters, they could appear in a potential sequel or other forms of media entirely. It remains to be seen whether this comes to fruition.
