Superman's New Costume Totally Removes 1 of His Biggest Weaknesses
Warning! Contains spoilers for Batman / Superman: World's Finest #26!
Summary With Bat-Mite's gift of his very own Batsuit, Superman becomes completely immune to magic.
Superman uses a Batsuit to easily defeat a powerful magical enemy, Kadabra.
Unfortunately, the suit is temporary as it was a gift for Batman's birthday.
Thanks to his nigh invulnerability, there are very few things that can harm Superman, and with his title of Man of Steel, one wouldn't expect him to need armor at all. But during a battle against an empowered magical enemy, Superman had to bring out his very own Batsuit to win.
Superman's astounding Batsuit was revealed in Batman/Superman: World's Finest #26 by Mark Waid and Dan Mora. In this issue, the Earth is under attack from fifth-dimensional imps who worship villains. These imps are using their powers to power up their favorite villains, and Kadabra becomes so powerful that not even the Flash can stop him.
Rushing to the Flash's aid, Superman is also quickly overpowered. It turns out the fifth-dimensional imp empowered Kadabra by giving him true magic, which is a major weakness for Superman. It seemed like both Flash and Superman would meet their end at Kadabra's hand, but instead, Bat-Mite gives Superman his very own Batsuit, which turns the tide of battle.

With His New "Batsuit," Superman Is Completely Immune To Magic
Bat-Mite Gifts Superman New Armor
There are very few things in the DC Universe that can actually hurt Superman. While it is possible to defeat Superman with sufficient physical strength, that isn't something most characters are capable of. While everyone knows that Superman is weak to Kryptonite, that's also fairly difficult to come by. Magic is usually one of the fastest and easiest ways to take down Superman, since technically, almost anyone could learn how to do it, making it far easier to come across than Kryptonite. But thanks to Bat-Mite, Superman's weakness towards magic is completely removed — at least for a little bit.
It shouldn't be surprising that Superman will often resort to using suits to negate his weaknesses. He is called the Man of Steel, after all. He's been known to wear power suits that negate the radiation of Kryptonite or even red sun radiation, but a suit that allows him to negate the effects of magic would be majorly useful in all kinds of contexts. Naturally, a suit that negates magic isn't something that is easily found, and Superman only got it from Bat-Mite: a fifth-dimensional imp who can warp reality and who usually only deigns to help out his number-one obsession, Batman.

Is Superman's New Suit Permanent?
Bat-Mite explains that this particular suit was a birthday gift for Batman — which is why Superman doesn't get to keep it, unfortunately. Superman has done everything he can over the years to try and negate his weaknesses as best he can. Unfortunately, magic remains the biggest threat that Superman has no defense against, as he can't keep Bat-Mite's suit forever. But for one glorious moment, not only did Superman have his very own Batsuit, but he was also completely and utterly protected from magic, which removed one of Superman's biggest weaknesses.
