Avengers: Endgame Theory Is Even More Possible 5 Years Later Thanks To The Marvels

Summary The Marvels hints at future MCU sequels featuring Captain Marvel, Kamala Khan, and Monica Rambeau.

Skrulls moving to Thanos's planet for a peaceful ending after war with the Kree is a fitting storyline.

The Marvels impacts past MCU stories and sets up exciting possibilities for the franchise's future.

The Marvels has made a theory spawning from Avengers: Endgame much more likely. The ending of The Marvels teased huge things for the future of the MCU, from the proper introduction of several X-Men characters to the MCU's Young Avengers movie. However, The Marvels also had a big impact on stories from the franchise that were released before it, namely Captain Marvel, Avengers: Infinity War, and Secret Invasion, thanks to Carol's character arc and her relationship with Skrulls.

Despite the future of Captain Marvel in the MCU being in doubt due to Disney's new dedication to tried and tested franchises, The Marvels' effects on the franchise will still be felt. The MCU's X-Men movie will likely always be tied back to The Marvels, and Carol Danvers' arc will serve as a satisfying culmination of her prior character. Given the events of the 2023 film, another potential way The Marvels could impact the history of the MCU is by bringing a common Avengers: Endgame theory to fruition.

The Skrulls Moving To Thanos' MCU Endgame Planet Makes More Sense After The Marvels

Thanos' farm planet was identified as a perfect home for the displaced Skrulls.

The theory spinning out of Avengers: Endgame's story centered around Thanos' farm-like planet, with audiences wondering whether this would serve as a good home for the Skrulls. Since the 1990s in the MCU's timeline, large hosts of Skrulls have been displaced due to the Kree-Skrull war. With Thanos choosing an idyllic, uninhabited planet as his retirement home after the events of Avengers: Infinity War, many wondered why the Skrulls could not also do the same.

With Dar-Benn gone as of The Marvels' ending, the Skrulls could now move to Thanos' Avengers: Endgame planet without the threat of the Kree looming over them.

However, the one caveat to this theory centered around the Kree. The Kree have long been enemies of the Skrulls, dedicated to hunting them down and eradicating them, no matter where the latter race settled. That said, The Marvels introduced the idea that the Kree and the Skrulls were beginning to live in peace until Dar-Benn ruined such a truce. With Dar-Benn gone as of The Marvels' ending, the Skrulls could now move to Thanos' Avengers: Endgame planet without the threat of the Kree looming over them.

Why The Skrulls Moving To Thanos' Planet Is A Perfect Conclusion To Their Arc

The Skrulls inhabiting Thanos' planet would be a satisfying end to their MCU story.

If the MCU chose to move the Skrulls to Thanos' planet from Avengers: Endgame, it would serve as a satisfying conclusion to their story in the franchise. While the Skrulls have not always been part of the best-ranked MCU movies or shows, their plight is still a sympathetic one. Being displaced by a war not caused by them and subsequently turned into galaxy-threatening monsters by Kree propaganda all while struggling to find a home for over two decades is more than enough to make the Skrulls deserve a happy ending.

Living on Thanos' Avengers: Endgame planet would provide exactly this. The Skrullx have long desired a home, be it Skrullos, Earth, or the other colonies shown not to last in The Marvels. Thanos' planet was shown as a beautiful location that resembles Earth but still includes the otherworldly attractions of one of the MCU's many planets. In moving the Skrulls there after Thanos' death in Avengers: Endgame and the end of the Kree-Skrull war in The Marvels, the planet can be reclaimed and inhabited by a race of people that deserves to live in peace after a tumultuous MCU history.
