How To Farm Brave Weapons In Destiny 2

How To Farm Brave Weapons In Destiny 2

Farming Brave weapons in Destiny 2 is a necessary step for Guardians who desire to acquire top-tier gear with some of the best Traits to use both in PvE and PvP activities. Brave is a new category of weapons brought to Bungie’s popular shooter with the Into the Light expansion, a F2P (free-to-play) limited-time piece of content added before the release of Destiny 2: The Final Shape DLC later this Summer. Brave weapons are reruns of classic and fan-favorite gear from the franchise, reskinned and remodeled with several new Trait possibilities, thus, allowing for unique god rolls.

Some weapons, such as the ever-popular Scout Rifle Hung Jury or the Sword Falling Guillotine, have been incorporated into the Brave arsenal, offered by Shaxx. These special versions of the weapons cannot have their patterns extracted, meaning it’s impossible to craft them and mold them to your taste. Instead, if you want a god roll of a certain Brave weapon in Destiny 2, you will need to grind and farm them the old-fashioned way. It may take you several days before you get the roll that you want, but given the Traits on these weapons, it is worth the effort.

How To Unlock & Get Brave Weapons In Destiny 2

Complete Onslaught Activities On The Lowest Difficulty

To start getting Brave Weapons, you first need to complete the short quest that sees you visit the Hall of Champions and talk to Lord Shaxx. You should be sent there automatically upon logging in but, in case you skipped the cutscene and missed the start of the quest, you can simply open your Director on the Destinations tab and click on the Into The Light icon to then proceed into the Hall of Champions.

The activity itself should teach you how to get Brave Weapons but, for reference, you will need to complete activities related to Into The Light in Destiny 2. These activities are called Onslaught. This is a wave-based defensive PvE activity in which you will need to fend off invaders trying to destroy your checkpoint.

To do this, you will need to purchase defense upgrades for your base through points you gather during each match and use your team’s abilities to destroy the threats. You can get Brave weapons as drops during the activity, as well as in the chest when you defeat the final boss. The chest has a guaranteed drop, though the item and its roll are randomized. This is one of the most consistent ways of farming Brave weapons in Destiny 2.

It is recommended you do the simplest form of Onslaught, which consists of only 10 waves and has a matchmaking system. The other 50-round provides unique rewards, but is more punitive, takes longer, and does not serve the purpose of farming.

If you want to zero in on a specific weapon from the Brave arsenal, it is recommended that you complete its respective quest, which can be obtained from Arcite 99-40, a robot that is located right next to Shaxx in the Hall of Champions.

If you want to farm the god roll for Hung Jury, for instance, you should complete its quest, grab the unique and limited version of the weapon. This will allow you to use Attunement. Once you attune to a weapon type in the Hall of Champions, your drop rate for that weapon during Onslaught activities in Destiny 2 will increase.

The drop rate boost provided by Attunement is 50%, which makes it highly advised to do if your goal is to farm a specific weapon.

How To Get Even More Brave Weapons In Destiny 2

Potentialize Your Farming Capabilities

Close

In addition to simply running Onslaught activities on repeat, you can get even more copies of Brave weapons, thus potentializing the outcome of your farming efforts. This is because, while you complete Onslaught and grow through Shaxx’s Brave ranks, you will gain a currency called Trophies of Bravery.

This special currency can be used to purchase the class-specifc armor pieces that are found in the center of the Hall of Champions but, in addition to that, 10 Trophies can be traded with the chest near the entrance of the platform on which Shaxx can be found. The loot is randomized, but there is a chance of getting the Brave weapon you want in Destiny 2, thus improving your farming efforts. Through this method, the weapons should be at Power Level 1800.

Another way of getting extra Brave weapons is by leveling up your Brave rank with Shaxx. While he has a roster of predetermined rewards for specific level thresholds you reach, you will get one randomized Engram with each rank you reach. As such, you can get up to one extra weapon with each rank.

The loot is also randomized in this case, but it is a way of getting more copies of Brave weapons. Contrary to exchanging Trophies, the weapons obtained through ranks with Shaxx are always at Power Level 1810, the item-level cap for Season of the Wish, the current season until the release of Destiny 2: The Final Shape.

Brave Weapons Are Added To The Loot Pool Weekly

In total, you will be able to get 12 different weapon types that compose the Brave arsenal. The main thing to be attentive to is that weapons will be released weekly and added to the larger loot pool gradually.

As such, if you want to farm certain Brave weapons, you may have to either wait for them to be released or, instead, try to farm their god roll as much as you can before other weapons are added to the loot pool, therefore decreasing your odds of getting a specific weapon type.

The table below lists all the Brave weapons in Destiny 2, their category, and the date they will be released and added to the loot pool:

Every Brave Weapon In Destiny 2: Into The Light Name Category / Damage Type / Slot / Ammo Release Date Elsie's Rifle Pulse Rifle - Void - Energy - Primary April 9 Falling Guillotine Sword - Void - Power - Heavy April 9 Edge Transit Grenade Launcher - Void - Power - Heavy April 9 The Recluse Submachine Gun - Void - Energy - Primary April 9 Hung Jury SR4 Scout Rifle - Kinetic - Primary - Primary April 9 Succession Sniper Rifle - Kinetic - Kinetic - Special April 9 The Mountaintop Grenade Launcher - Kinetic - Kinetic - Special April 16 Midnight Coup Hand Cannon - Kinetic - Kinetic - Primary April 16 Hammerhead Machine Gun - Void - Power - Heavy April 23 Forbearance Grenade Launcher - Arc - Energy - Special April 23 Blast Furnace Pulse Rifle - Kinetic - Kinetic - Primary April 30 Luna's Howl Hand Cannon - Solar - Energy - Primary April 30

Despite their gradual release, all the Brave weapons will only be available until June 3, which precedes the release of The Final Shape on June 4. As such, you should farm in order to get your god rolls of these special weapons as early as possible, since Bungie has not hinted at the return of the Brave arsenal at any point.
