Spy X Family CODE: White Movie Ending Explained

The telepathic orphan Anya, her skilled spy father Loid, and her deadly assassin mommy Yor go on an exciting family vacation in the Spy X Family Code: White movie, which has epic and heartfelt ending fans won't want to miss. Code: White is the franchise's first movie that tells its own stand-alone story. However, Anya and her family encounter some of their most formidable enemies yet in the film, which nearly ends the entire family.

Code: White's story begins with Anya receiving news that she'd be tasked with submitting a desert in a school contest that would bring her and Loid closer to their goal of infiltrating the prestigious school's highest ranks. However, in order to craft the judge's favorite dessert, the family would need to travel out of town to sample it from a village restaurant of their youth. Things get a lot more complicated when the family arrives at the far-away restaurant.

The film introduces several new characters to the franchise, one being the formidable Colonel Snidel. He arrives at the restaurant and not only steals the last piece of the dessert from Anya's table but also manages to get the better of Loid in a contest for the final piece of the sweet treat. This encounter helps set up a desperate hunt for ingredients and a crash course with Snidel and his dangerous squad of soldiers.

Anya Nearly Starts A World War

Before the intense scene at the restaurant, Anya and the family's clairvoyant dog, Bond, encounter some of Snidel's lackeys and a mysterious chocolate on their train ride toward the village. The chocolate contains a critical piece of microfilm that threatens the nation's security. After accidentally swallowing the chocolatey film, Anya instantly becomes a target for Snidel. The young girl is eventually kidnapped, prompting Loid and Yor to track her and Snidel's forces down to a flying zeppelin, where the film's climax takes place.

Anya narrowly avoids being cut open by Colonel Snidel before Loid infiltrates the group. At the same time, Yor also finds a way onto the ship by sneaking onto Loid's small plane, which is forced to crash land onto the intimidating and large aircraft. Both of Anya's parents' impressive skills are tested in Code: White, with Loid nearly meeting his end to poison gas and Snidel's ruthlessness. Yor encounters a dangerous robotic man who is immune to all of her physical attacks. The film does a great job of raising the stakes until all hope seems lost.

As fire surrounds Yor in her battle against the unmovable foe, she is able to use the highly flammable lipstick Loid gifted her to create an effective explosive to overcome the opponent. While Loid himself becomes surrounded by poisonous gas in the cockpit while fighting Snidel, Anya frees herself from restraints just in time to hit the controls to vent the cockpit, saving her father's life. Loid then disguises himself as Snidel and subdues the foe. Still, the damaged ship begins to descend into the town that houses the very restaurant from earlier in the film.

In The End, The Spy Family Finally Teams Up

The film's end may have seen Loid, Yor, and Anya's foes defeated, but the airship they were on was ready to crash. With all his strength, Loid tried to steer the ruined ship into a nearby lake, but it was not enough. Then the music begins to swell as Yor and even Anya grab the wheel to help Loid steer the ship, and they successfully land it into the large lake. The series often sees its family members accomplishing their goals secretly. Seeing the Spy Family team up to save the day is both satisfying and heartwarming.

At the very end of Spy X Family Code: White, the microfilm is found stuck in Anya's teeth and turned over to Loid's people. While they successfully found all the ingredients and tried the coveted dessert for themselves, the instructor initially set to judge the dessert at Anya's school, postponed the contest, and gave the responsibility to another faculty member. The movie ends with Loid figuring out what desert the new judge preferred and preparing the family for another vacation that should hopefully be less of an ordeal than Code: White demanded.
