Genshin Impact 4.7 Leaks: New Character Will Change Team Comps Forever

Genshin Impact 4.7 Leaks: New Character Will Change Team Comps Forever

Summary Genshin Impact 4.7 leaks hint at new playable characters with a unique mechanic that may change the game.

Version 4.7 is rumored to introduce three new playable characters in a single patch, some of which had their kits leaked.

This unique mechanic may become a new standard, present in several types of team comps in the game.

Rumored details about a new character in Genshin Impact 4.7 leaks are hinting at what may be an overhaul to how team comps are currently formed and what direction the game is going toward. At the moment, HoYoverse’s popular action RPG is set to enter Version 4.6, a massive update that will introduce the highly anticipated Arlecchino as a playable character, a new area in Fontaine, two Character Quests, two boss opponents, and much more. The release of Genshin Impact 4.6 is nigh, but the attention is now diverting to the content that is rumored to be in Version 4.7.

For now, the Version 4.7 leaks are still arriving slowly, as the tests for the patch have only just begun. Nevertheless, there are already leaks mentioning that there will be three new playable characters in the upcoming content and, if true, it’s proof that HoYoverse learned a lesson for Genshin Impact 4.7. There are also mentions of a returning character, whose simple existence implies there may be important story content in the next patch. Now, there have been leaks about the gameplay kits for some of the rumored playable characters and the details provided may hint at a game-changing feature.

According to new information obtained by the leaker known as Foul, shared in a post tagged as “Questionable” on Reddit, the early descriptions of Sigewinne’s gameplay kit have leaked. The character had already been described as a hybrid between a DPS and a healer, much like Kokomi, but now there may be hints as to why. Foul mentions that Sigewinne is capable of creating bubbles, and that when these bubbles pop, they create droplet pick-ups. These droplets then grant Bond of Life, which allegedly affects the amount of healing she possibly provides in Genshin Impact.

Foul’s description of Sigewinne’s leaked Burst is rather vague, mentioning it sprays water. The leaker also confirms rumors that Sigewinne is a bow user by mentioning her signature weapon is a bow with a 66% HP bonus with a skill that affects her Burst.

Genshin Impact May Introduce More Bond Of Life Characters

Arlecchino Was The First Playable Character With The Mechanic

The big detail to pay attention to in this leak is the mention of Bond of Life. This is a special mechanic that had formerly been used only by Fatui enemies but, now, is being implemented into the player’s possible gameplay strategies. The first character to receive this is Arlecchino in Version 4.6. In fact, her entire gameplay kit revolves around applying a Bond of Life debuff to herself and, with it, triggering a buff to her offensive properties while also infusing her Normal Attacks with Pyro – in turn, she can more easily trigger Elemental Reactions in Genshin Impact.

Version 4.6 is also adding a Bond of Life-focused Artifact set called Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy. While its two-piece bonus grants an 18% ATK Bonus, the four-piece bonus is dedicated to the mechanic. With it, when there is any type of fluctuation in the Bond of Life value, the equipping character will deal 18% increased DMG for six seconds, for up to three stacks. In Version 4.6, this will only serve Arlecchino in Genshin Impact. If the leaks about Sigewinne’s kit are true, then it may serve her, perhaps as more of a sub-DPS rather than a main damage dealer.

“HoYoverse can build around Bond of Life as a sacrifice-empowering mechanic.”

What is notable, however, is that Bond of Life may become the next big combat mechanic. HoYoverse has experimented with several approaches – most recently, it doubled down on the already existing HP-loss mechanic. While Hu Tao and Xiao were already known for losing HP in exchange for more damage, the releases of Lyney, Neuvillette, Wriothesley, for instance, increased the number of characters that sacrifice life for more damage output. This was backed up by the release of the Marechaussee Hunter Artifacts, which further boosts damage when there is HP fluctuation on the character in Genshin Impact.

Mechanic Can Be Compared To HP-Loss Mechanics Due To Its Sacrifice-For-Power Scheme

Now, it seems like the attention is diverting toward Bond of Life. This mechanic, primarily, takes over a portion of the character’s life and does not allow them to heal any value within unless the Bond of Life is healed over first. For instance, if a character has Bond of Life equal to 30% of their HP, they first need to heal the equivalent of 30% of their HP to remove all that Bond of Life to only then be able to heal the character themselves. This is, at its core, a debuff in Genshin Impact.

The interesting aspect of it is that, like the HP-loss mechanic, HoYoverse can build around Bond of Life as a sacrifice-empowering mechanic. When Arlecchino submits herself to the debuff, she reaches her highest potential as a DPS. It is uncertain how Sigewinne will work on the battlefield, but if the leak is true and her Bond of Life affects her healing potential, then perhaps Bond of Life can be adapted into several other stats, increasing Energy Regeneration, for instance. If Sigewinne’s leaked kit is true, then Bond of Life may start appearing more often in Genshin Impact team comps.

In fact, in addition to Sigewinne, there have also been reports about Clorinde’s gameplay kit, as seen in another leak obtained by Foul and shared by a user on Reddit. In it, Foul mentions that Clorinde gets extra CRIT when she gets Bond of Life, though it is uncertain exactly how much or whether it increases CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG. Nevertheless, Sigewinne’s and Clorinde’s leaked gameplay kits in Genshin Impact seem to hint at more Bond of Life characters, which may forever change the meta of team comps in the game.
