Out of the twenty companions players can select, only Sarah Morgan, Sam Coe, Barrett, and Andreja are open to romance and relationships depending on dialogue choices and on how players act when alongside them in the game's open-world. While it is possible to flirt with all four of Starfield's companions simultaneously it is worth noting that the characters seem to indicate that they are not polyamorous in earlier conversations and eventually want some kind of exclusivity through marriage.

This doesn't seem to be the case, however, as Redditor nathantravis2377 points out in a post on the r/Starfield subreddit. nathantravis2377 managed to successfully romance both Sarah Morgan and Andreja, although Andreja is apparently less on board with the idea.

The images show nathantravis2377's custom character standing alongside Sarah Morgan, with another showing Andreja lurking behind a potted plant, watching Sarah as she sleeps. Apparently, Andreja "was not happy and threatened to leave when next at port" and now there seems to be some concern for Sarah's safety.

The secret to romancing multiple characters in Starfield seems to be to seduce Andreja first. Andreja openly tells players she "doesn't like to share", so if she knows they're already dating another character, this limits the options surrounding romancing her. nathantravis2377 explained that they romanced Andreja all the way until "marriage" first, then romanced Sarah until they got married.

As is to be expected knowing her character and preferences, Andreja got angry about marrying Sarah as well, but using persuasion to convince her a throuple would be fine seemed to make everything alright. While both Andreja and Sarah seemed to agree to the open relationship, the image of Andreja lurking over a sleeping Sarah made the original poster joke about being worried for Sarah's safety, implying that the member of House Va'Runn may murder Constellation's leader in her sleep.

While Starfield's dialogue initially seems to discourage open relationships, it seemed inevitable that players would find a way to negotiate such a situation. While the example shown is between Sarah and Andreja, further comments on the Reddit thread indicate that this is the case with the other characters as well, allowing players to marry every romanceable companion in the game simultaneously.
