Steve Buscemi's Wednesday Season 2 Character Can Perfectly Pay Off His $1.3 Billion Horror Franchise Role
It was recently announced that Steve Buscemi is the latest addition to the cast of Wednesday season 2, and aside from the fact that he is rumored to play the new principal of Nevermore Academy, there is a particular detail the writers could include which would make Buscemi's Wednesday character connect perfectly with another spooky project he recently performed in. Buscemi is just one of countless stars appearing in the cast of Netflix's hit series, Wednesday. The second season is reportedly due to start filming this month, which means its expected release is sometime in 2025.
With details very much under wraps, it is hard to say what Wednesday season 2 has to offer, especially when it comes to new characters like Steve Buscemi's. However, there is no doubt that the possibilities are pretty much endless at Nevermore Academy. In season 1, it was revealed that the school was attended by all sorts of supernatural students, from psychics and vampires to sirens and werewolves. This fact means that Buscemi's character could very well be some sort of paranormal creature. And if this does occur, it would create an awesome parallel with his 2022 animated movie.

Steve Buscemi's Wednesday Character Being A Werewolf Would Be A Great Live-Action Translation Of His Hotel Transylvania Character
Buscemi played a werewolf named Wayne
Close
If Wednesday season 2 does decide to make Steve Buscemi into a magical creature, and more specifically, a werewolf, this would create a perfect connection between Wednesday and Buscemi's 2022 movie, Hotel Transylvania: Transformania. In the fourth installment of the Hotel Transylvania series, Buscemi plays a werewolf named Wayne who is turned into a human as a result of a transformative ray. Although Buscemi's Wayne is far from the focal point of the movie, there is no denying his werewolf status, and therefore, Wednesday could create a fun little point of connection by making Buscemi a werewolf once more.
This Wednesday and Hotel Transylvania connection would not be very hard to complete either. If Buscemi is truly playing the principal of Nevermore Academy, it would make sense that he would be some sort of supernatural creature as well.
Notably, Gwendoline Christie's Principal Weems was a shapeshifter throughout season 1.
Therefore, plotwise, Buscemi's new character could very easily be a werewolf. And more than that, the new principal being a werewolf would almost certainly have an effect on the preexisting characters in Wednesday that are set to return for season 2.
Although Principal Weems was seemingly killed in Wednesday season 1, many believe she will return in the second season.
What Nevermore Having A Werewolf Principal Would Mean For Enid's Wednesday Season 2 Story
Enid could have a new ally or enemy in Buscemi
The character who would be most affected by Steve Buscemi's werewolf is Wednesday's roommate, Enid. Throughout season 1, Enid struggled to transform into her werewolf self due to self confidence issues. Although she finally shifted at the end of Wednesday season 1, this may be an ongoing struggle for her. Buscemi's werewolf could therefore be a person of support for her, or an enemy. Buscemi could bond with Enid over their shared werewolf status, or he could shun her due to her unique struggles. Regardless, having a new werewolf at Nevermore would be an exciting addition to Wednesday season 2.
