Resident Alien season 3 ended with Harry and Bridget in a seemingly unwinnable situation, but the finale also showed how they could easily escape very early in Resident Alien season 4. The ending of Resident Alien season 3 marked the conclusion of a truncated eight-episode run that was surprisingly action-packed. Robert's Resident Alien Season 3 Comeback Means He Can Easily Save Harry & Bridget Again In Season 4
Robert has already proven very capable of moving around the Greys' ship unnoticed

"Homecoming" included a reunion between Robert Hutchins and Harry, with the pair running into one another aboard the Greys' moon ship in the Resident Alien season 3 finale. Robert is instrumental in the apparent escape of Harry and the others, with the fake Harry fleeing the ship with Asta, D'arcy, and the Hawthorne baby in tow. Robert opts to stay behind, claiming that there is nothing left for him on Earth, unaware of his father's recent resurrection. Even though it turns out the Harry who escaped is simply the Mantid in disguise, the real Harry's imprisonment won't last long.
Robert's father is Peter Bach, also known as the Alien Tracker.
Robert's familiarity with the Greys' ship and their customs means he can easily move around the enormous spacecraft. Freeing D'arcy and Asta was very easy for Robert, so doing the same for Harry and Bridget should be just as straightforward. There is perhaps the obstacle that Harry will need to convince Robert that he isn't just Resident Alien season 4's new villain in disguise, which could prove tricky. However, the act of freeing him won't be a challenge.

If it weren't for Robert's presence in the episode, the ending of "Homecoming" would have been genuinely worrying. Trapped aboard a hostile vessel with someone taking his place on Earth would have been a compelling scenario for Harry to find a way out of. Introducing Robert as part of the initial jailbreak provides too simple a solution for Harry's eventual escape in Resident Alien season 4.

What could have been more effective would have been to have Asta and D'arcy escape another way, and save Robert's return for the first episode of the next season. Having Robert remain aboard the Greys' ship all but confirms it'll be him who eventually frees Harry. So, while bringing Robert back was a nice twist, it's a reveal that should arguably have been reserved for Resident Alien season 4 as a surprise solve to Harry's conundrum.
