According to Deadline, American Idol season 22 is set to honor Mandisa during a musical tribute in an episode that will air on Monday, April 29. Host Ryan Seacrest announced the tribute in the most recent American Idol season 22 episode, saying, "We wanted to take a moment to honor a dear member of the Idol family who we sadly lost this week: Mandisa." Following Mandisa's passing, fellow stars like Paula Abdul and Jennifer Hudson also posted tributes to the star, each expressing their sadness of the news and how Mandisa was a beacon of light.
