FF16: Best Leviathan Eikonic Abilities For Clive
Leviathan is a new Eikon option in the Final Fantasy 16: The Rising Tide DLC. You will gain access to both the summon and its abilities near the beginning of the DLC's story. Investing in these can help both during the campaign and returning to the main game.
The Rising Tide is accessed very late in Final Fantasy 16. You will have to complete the main story quest “Back to Their Origin”, which is the penultimate quest right before the final boss and ending. This means you won’t have much time to play around with Leviathan’s latest skills.

The Best Leviathan Eikon Skills In Final Fantasy 16
Every Skill & AP Cost
Final Fantasy 16: The Rising Tide introduces five new skills for Clive. There is no restriction on what you can purchase. If you previously farmed ability points, you can max out all options immediately. However, if you lack AP, you should choose each skill conservatively, based on your playstyle.
Leviathan Ability Function Skill Ranks Ability Point Cost Serpent’s Cry Change Clive’s basic attacks into ranged water attacks 2 1,000 Cross Swell Pull all affected enemies to the center, making them susceptible to a follow-up attack. It also deals moderate damage 3 1,240 Tsunami (Ultimate) Hit a vast area with a massive wave. Deals heavy damage and knocks around targets 3 7,750 Deluge Rapidly staggers enemies and deals a small amount of damage to each hit 3 1,210 Abyssal Tear Create a sphere of water above Clive. Cast Abyssal Tear a second time to release a barrage of water magic 3 1,400
You should unlock and upgrade abilities to match your other equipped Eikons. Serpent’s Cry is fantastic if you mostly want to stay away and lack melee abilities. Cross Swell is ideal if you have invested in other area-of-effect attacks like those from Titan and Garuda. Tsunami is always good because it is an ultimate skill.
While the new abilities are great for fighting through the DLC, there are many combat situations in Final Fantasy 16. Leviathan’s abilities can create new tactics when facing off against all the S-Rank Hunts. Still, just because Leviathan is new does not mean you should focus entirely on it. Mix and match all the Eikon options to make Clive strong and versatile.
