Heartstopper season 3 has added several cast members including a Marvel Cinematic Universe alumna. The show, which premiered on Netflix in 2022, was created by Alice Oseman and is based on her graphic novel series of the same name. It follows the burgeoning relationship between schoolmates Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) and Nick Nelson (Kit Connor), as well as the personal lives of their teenage friends, who are mostly students at Truham Grammar School or Higgs Girls School. The ensemble cast also includes William Gao, Yasmin Finney, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Tobie Donovan, Sebastian Croft, Stephen Fry, and Olivia Colman.
Per Variety, three new stars have been officially added to the Heartstopper season 3 cast playing characters from the original comics. The incoming cast includes Hayley Atwell as Nick's aunt Diane and Eddie Marsan as Charlie's therapist Geoff. After his participation was rumored following his involvement in a promotional Instagram account that was then made private, it has also been confirmed that Jonathan Bailey will be appearing as Jack Maddox, Charlie's celebrity crush who was introduced (as Henry Maddox) in a canonical side story written by guest author Lauren James with illustrations by Oseman.
