How To Recruit Fallout’s Lucy MacLean In Fallout Shelter

To recruit Lucy in Fallout Shelter, players must complete "A Pier into the Future," a special quest available from the Overseer’s Office. The Overseer’s Office room grants access to Fallout Shelter's different quests, which can be completed by sending out teams of Vault Dwellers. However, it can only be constructed in Vaults with at least 18 Vault Dwellers. A Pier into the Future is marked with a Vault 33 icon and restricted to Vault Dwellers who are at least Level 10.

Vault Dwellers can easily reach Level 10 within a few hours of play, particularly if sent out to explore the wasteland and collect resources. This quest isn’t particularly challenging as long as the team is stocked up with plenty of Stimpaks, Radaway, and the best gear they have available.

It’s highly recommended that new players tackle quests as soon as they unlock the Overseer’s Office. Quests provide new weapons, outfits, junk resources, Caps, Nuka Cola Quantum, and more. This makes them incredibly valuable for expanding a Vault.

Once the team has reached their destination in Fallout Shelter, all players need to do is explore the pier building. This is similar to most Fallout Shelter quests, which involve exploring different buildings room by room, defeating enemies, and collecting loot. Lucy can be found in one of the first rooms of the pier building, and after some brief dialogue, she agrees to return to the Vault.

How To Assign Lucy MacLean In Fallout Shelter

Finding and unlocking Legendary Vault Dwellers is usually difficult, as they are only available from Lunchboxes and certain quest chains. Lucy will likely become one of the best Vault Dwellers players available. Lucy comes equipped with Lucy’s Vault Suit (Perception +3, Endurance +2, Luck +2) and her Tranq Gun (2-12 Damage), and has the following stats:

Lucy’s well-balanced stat in Fallout set means she can reasonably work any Vault facility. However, the best role Lucy can play in any Fallout Shelter Vault is as a wasteland explorer. A solid state set and unique gear mean she’s well-suited to exploration and can easily take a leading role in any quest team.

One of the best things to do is to send Lucy to complete the rest of the Vault 33 quest line. While subsequent quests can be more challenging, they also offer other Legendary Dwellers from the Fallout show, including the Ghoul and Maximus, as rewards. The questline is a great way to recruit multiple Legendary Dwellers and collect valuable resources, particularly for new players.
