Starfield's upcoming Shattered Space DLC is due to arrive sometime this year with new story content, new locations, new gear, and more. Bethesda has yet to announce exactly when it will be released in 2024, but fortunately, players can dive into new side missions right now to pass the time.
There's no denying that Starfield has plenty for players to do when exploring the Settled Systems, from space battles to building outposts to farm a planet for resources, but with a game spanning 1000 planets, there's always room for more. remosito's Missions Galore mod adds up to 12 or 13 configurable missions for each type to the generic Mission Board.
The mission types available in Starfield are as follows:
Mission Type Objective Bounty Track and kill a target Supply Deliver resources to a settlement Cargo Deliver cargo to a specified location Smuggle Smuggle contraband to a specified location Survey Survey and scan a specified planet Steal/Raid Steal from a settlement on a specified planet Piracy Steal cargo from a ship Passenger Transport passengers to a settlement on a specified planet
Players can configure the mod's options via the Ship Terminal in their cockpit, picking just how many of each mission type they want to appear on the Mission Board at any given time, and automatically setting new side missions as active and tracking them via a blue dot.

Side Missions Are A Good Way Of Quickly Amassing Credits
Ranging From Simple Deliveries To More Dangerous Activities

Depending on the difficulty of the task and the risk involved, side missions are an extremely effective way of building up credits. Starfield's base side missions are found on the major cities' boards, or in the bases of various factions, and while they are repeatable, since they are randomly generated quests, ensuring players will never run out of opportunities to earn more credits, they are often in the same nearby locations.
One of the main complaints players had about Starfield was how space seemed to feel incredibly empty outside of Bethesda's hand-crafted main locations, which is often something that modders are trying to fix by adding more events such as randomized space encounters to other, less active star systems. As seen in some of remosito's screenshots, Mission Galore also follows this idea by setting up some of these additional missions further across the galaxy, pushing players to explore further afield.
Starfield is already a big game with plenty of mechanics in place, even if they don't always feel as fleshed out as they could be in the base game. Fortunately, while Bethesda has yet to confirm exactly what new content will be included in its official Shattered Space DLC, or what its scale will be in general, mods such as Missions Galore continue to build upon the studio's original vision and are doing plenty to keep Starfield's players occupied in the meantime.
