According to Fortnite, Spirit Hunter Saeko will be the May 2024 Fortnite Crew Pack Outfit. Unlike some previous Fortnite Crew Pack Outfits, Saeko is an entirely new character making her debut. Some previous Crew Pack characters have also appeared as NPCs on the Fortnite island, but it’s unclear what role Saeko will play in the game's ongoing story.
Subscribers are also guaranteed to receive at least one matching themed accessory for Saeko, although this hasn’t been officially confirmed as of this writing. Some past Crew Packs have contained a full set of character cosmetics, although this has been scaled down to just one or two matching accessories in recent months. As such, it’s unlikely that players will receive a full set based on recent trends.
Alternative Styles for Saeko are also guaranteed and have been revealed by Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey. Subscribers will receive a LEGO minifigure version of the Saeko Outfit, which can be used in LEGO Fortnite, as well as Crew Legacy Styles. Crew Legacy Styles are a relatively new addition, and players are rewarded with extra Styles for staying subscribed for more than one month. Subscribers will receive:
Styxhacker’s Legacy Saeko for staying subscribed for a total of two months.
Auric Legacy Saeko for staying subscribed for a total of three months.
Phase Legacy Saeko for staying subscribed for a total of four months.
Rimebound Legacy Saeko for staying subscribed for a total of five months.
Cosmic Legacy Saeko for staying subscribed for a total of six months.
These offer incentives for players to maintain their subscriptions long-term. Anyone with an active subscription from before May 2024 will also receive Crew Legacy Styles for past Outfits, including Ares, Katt, Lana Llane, Silas Hesk, Skull Scout, and more.
It’s worth noting that Fortnite Crew Pack Outfits do vary in quality, and some months offer more interesting characters than others. This month’s Outfit is arguably less of a draw, but prospective subscribers may also want to consider the other perks on offer.

Subscribers also receive the following Crew Pack perks:
Access to the premium track of the Fortnite Battle Pass (currently Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2)
1,000 V-Bucks to spend in the in-game Fortnite Item Shop
Rocket Pass Premium for Rocket League (currently Rocket League Season 14)
Access to the premium track of the Battle Pass is a major draw for subscribers. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 has been particularly interesting for fans of Avatar the Last Airbender, with a limited-time Avatar-themed event. Battle Pass owners can also unlock Avatar Korra in Fortnite and a full set of themed cosmetics. Battle Pass rewards are cosmetic only with no in-game effects, but dozens of rewards, including extra packs of V-Bucks, are on offer.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 ends on May 24th, so players may want to wait until the end of the month to subscribe for the full Chapter 5 Season 3 Battle Pass. Fortnite’s Battle Pass also contains enough V-Bucks for players to purchase future seasonal Battle Passes without spending money.
The Crew Pack also contains an extra 1,000 V-Bucks for players to spend. These are best spent on premium cosmetics from the in-game Item Shop, but if players don’t see anything they want on offer, it’s highly recommended they save up. Premium cosmetics in Fortnite can be surprisingly expensive, with the biggest bundles often selling for a few thousand V-Bucks.
Finally, subscribers also receive Rocket Pass Premium for Rocket League. While this doesn’t benefit Fortnite players directly, it’s a great perk for anyone who also enjoys playing Psyonix’s car soccer game. Rocket League features Rocket Pass: its own version of a battle pass that contains cosmetics for players’ cars, including new car bodies, Goal Explosions, paints, and player titles.
A Fortnite Crew subscription is generally only recommended for players who spend much time playing Fortnite. While having an exclusive Outfit every month is a nice bonus, the in-game Item Shop frequently rotates new cosmetics, many of which are high-quality items. Saeko is arguably a less compelling Outfit compared to previous months, so it’s ultimately up to players to decide whether to subscribe for the Outfit.
Fortnite Crew perks are arguably much better value, as premium Battle Pass access usually costs 950 V-Bucks by itself. As such, players may already need to spend close to $11.99 for access without the extra perks. The arrival of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 near the end of May also makes this more compelling, with a new Battle Pass, new cosmetics, and new bonus Outfits guaranteed to be included.
An extra 1,000 V-Bucks is a great value add-on, but players should remember that it won’t be sufficient to purchase some Item Shop content. As mentioned above, the best bundles often cost more, so players will have to save up. However, a Fortnite Crew subscription is arguably worth the monthly cost for regular players who enjoy finishing the Battle Pass every season and regularly buy items from the Item Shop.
