However, Knuckles just kicked things up a notch, featuring one of the strangest scenes in the franchise's history.

Paramount+ has finally released the Knuckles TV show, with the highly anticipated spinoff of the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog movie series now released in full on the streaming service. Knuckles sees the titular Echidna set off on a journey to train Deputy Sheriff Wade Whipple to become the ultimate warrior, with them preparing for an epic bowling competition. Along the way, Knuckles and Wade run into all kinds of obstacles, but episode 4 definitely features one of the weirdest.

Knuckles Episode 4’s Battle Ground Sequence Was Bizarrely Great

After being knocked out by a bounty hunter, Wade Whipple has an odd dream, with this being the battle ground sequence. While knocked out, Wade finds himself in a bowling alley, with Knuckles' chief Pachacamac appearing to Wade. Pachacamac explains that he can help Wade become a true warrior by telling him Knuckles' origin story, although this can only be done through a rock opera performance.

Wade then finds himself wearing a cheap Knuckles costume and surrounded by puppets and other costumed showmen, with them performing an epic rock song that explains the origin of Knuckles. Throughout the song, Wade has to act out Knuckles' various heroics, with the bizarre scene helping Wade earn his confidence and become the warrior that Knuckles knew he could be.
