Genshin Impact 4.7 Leaks: New Endgame Mode Is A Reason To Farm For Perfect Artifacts

Genshin Impact 4.7 Leaks: New Endgame Mode Is A Reason To Farm For Perfect Artifacts

Summary Version 4.7 of Genshin Impact may introduce an endgame mode called Imaginarium Theater with unique mechanics.

Players may need to fine-tune their characters for the challenging rumored endgame mode.

The new rumored mode may have a character-loan system, which allows players to use heroes built by their friends.

A fresh set of Genshin Impact 4.7 leaks are outlining a new endgame mode that may challenge players to the point that they need to farm for perfect Artifact pieces. At the moment, the action RPG by HoYoverse is in the early phase of Version 4.6. The patch was highly awaited due to its content, which includes an expansion to Fontaine’s southern borders with Sumeru, new Character Quests, events, and, most importantly, the addition of the playable version of Arlecchino in Genshin Impact, who had long been expected by players. Her arrival also brings forth a powerful new gameplay mechanic.

Bond of Life had previously only been a debuff applied by some specific enemies, but now players can inflict that on themselves to deal even more damage in battles. Currently, Bond of Life is limited to Arlecchino’s gameplay kit, but recent leaks have hinted at more. In fact, a new Genshin Impact 4.7 character may change team comps forever if the leaks about them and their rumored Bond of Life mechanic is true. Aside from rumors focused on characters, there have also been leaks about some of the upcoming content, including a new and challenging endgame mode in Version 4.7.

According to information provided by the leaker known as HomDGCat, shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Reddit, Version 4.7 may introduce a new endgame mode, allegedly called Imaginarium Theater. This activity had been rumored before and was even referred to as the new Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact 4.7. At the time, the details were a bit scarce, but HomDGCat’s leak grants more details about how this rumored endgame activity will work – and based on the leak, it will be very different from Spiral Abyss and more like a mix between some limited-time events from the past.

Imaginarium Theater is rumored to be accessible in Version 4.7 from a book called Tome of Reveries. The leak mentions it will be located in a theater room and, from the style of the floor, it seems like that area is in Mondstadt.

How New Endgame Mode In Genshin Impact 4.7 May Work

Leaks Mention Multiple Modifiers & Team Comp Strategies

As seen in the leaks, Imaginarium Theater has seasonal themes, and these themes that change every so often will determine what types of characters may be used in the activity. The alleged prints provided by HomDGCat show that characters that have Pyro, Electro, and Anemo powers may be the first to be accepted into the mode and that these bonuses may affect them both in the endgame mode’s challenges, as well as other activities in the open world of Genshin Impact – exactly what these buffs will be is not outlined in the rumors.

When getting started with the Imaginarium Theater activity, according to the leak, players will choose their characters based on the imposed restrictions. The characters allegedly start the activity with two points of Vigor and, each time they participate in a Performance Challenge, which can be compared to a round or stage, they lose one point of Vigor. When they have no remaining points, they cannot be utilized anymore. If this is true, the mechanic will force players to constantly change and adapt their strategies with team comps in Genshin Impact.

This Vigor-based mechanic has been seen recently, in a Version 4.4 limited-time event called Triumphant Frenzy. During the event, this resource was called Resolve rather than Vigor or Performative Passion, as it is being named in the leak.

The idea in Imaginarium Theater is to make it through various phases of combat, alternating one’s team and changing strategies until they reach the end. This has been compared to Honkai: Star Rail’s Simulated Universe mode, but also to an older Version 2.2 event called Labyrinth Warriors. In it, players had to go through a dungeon crawling trial, picking up buffs and choosing different types of modifiers to help progress through stages. As pointed out by the replies to the Reddit post, it seems like the leaked mode is a mix between Genshin Impact’s Labyrinth Warriors and Triumphant Frenzy events.

Related Genshin Impact 4.7 Leaks Show One Relationship Is Ruined Forever New leaks about the story quests coming with Version 4.7 indicate that at least one relationship in Genshin Impact is ruined irreversibly.

HomDGCat’s leak mentions that different types of events can occur during a challenge. This includes Companion Events, which allow players to select characters to add to the standby team, Wondrous Succor, which grants combat buffs to the party, and Mystery Acquisitions, which offer buffs, but pose some sort of risk. These events can allegedly be selected rather than randomly thrust upon players. According to the leak, strategic team comps are key to winning challenges – so much so that they are rumored to have a retry button that allows players to change their party in Genshin Impact and restart them.

“Team comps will have to be changed quite often, which means having plenty of reliable characters from various roles in Genshin Impact.”

The leak also says that the completion of Performance Challenges in Imaginarium Theater grants various rewards and that beating three of them unlocks “Wolfy’s Thespian Trove,” where Toy Medals collected by the player can be exchanged for Thespian Tricks. These Thespian Tricks are, allegedly, new emote poses for specific characters, at least during the first season. The leak says the rewards will reset at the start of every season of the rumored endgame mode in Genshin Impact 4.7. In addition to HomDGCat’s leak, new information obtained by Seele Leaks, also shared in a post on Reddit, provides more details.

According to the leak, players will be able to borrow characters from friends for Imaginarium Theater. The leak mentions that there are some rules for these assisting characters, including being on par with the elemental restrictions. The Traveler and Aloy cannot be used as assisting characters and, in the hard mode of the challenge, players must have 18 characters at level 70 or higher that match those elemental requirements. The Genshin Impact 4.7 leak also says there is a 15-time limit to using assistant characters per period and that up to seven characters can be shared with friends.

Players Will Be Tested In The Leaked Endgame Mode In Genshin Impact 4.7

Activity May Require Fine-Tunement Of Characters

If the leaks about the Imaginarium Theater and its rules are true, then it is very likely players will be tested and their abilities will be pushed to the limit. The rumored Vigor mechanic may force players to properly build multiple characters rather than just two teams of four heroes, as is the case of the Spiral Abyss. If characters are only usable for two challenges, team comps will have to be changed quite often, which means having plenty of reliable characters from various roles in Genshin Impact.

Not only will players be required to fine-tune the characters for themselves, but if they plan on loaning their heroes to friends, it is best if they are well-built. This includes characters maxed out in terms of Talent leveling, as well as equipped with the proper Artifact sets and stats. This may even push players to restart their farming processes for several outdated characters in the game. Grinding for Artifacts in Genshin Impact is problematic due to the randomness of the drops, but it may be necessary if players want to improve their performance in the rumored new endgame mode.

Despite how reliable the leaks look right now, they are still leaks and, as such, should be taken with a grain of salt. Details about the leaked endgame mode may be incorrect, subject to change, or even pushed into another future patch. Nonetheless, the rumors about a new endgame mode seem promising as they give players more reason to continue playing beyond the story and, if it is as challenging as it sounds, players may even have reasons to tackle other farming activities in Genshin Impact they have long forsaken.
