Much like the video game series it was based on, the movie adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy’s revolves around the night watchman at an old pizzeria as he’s terrorized by animatronic mascots that have come to life with murderous intentions. But it also had a relatable human storyline running alongside the main conflict.

Josh Hutcherson stars as Mike Schmidt, the latest unfortunate security guard to take a job at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Piper Rubio co-stars as Mike’s younger sister, Abby, who lives with him. Throughout the film, the siblings are tormented by their wicked Aunt Jane, played by Mary Stuart Masterson, who believes that Mike is unfit to be Abby’s guardian and wants to take her into her own care.
