"I Bet It Will Go Late": Stranger Things Season 5 Gets Filming Update From Maya Hawke

Summary Maya Hawke estimates Stranger Things season 5 filming is still in the early stages, with under a quarter shot after four months.

The Robin actor did not reveal exactly when season 5 is expected to wrap, although she provides some clues.

Maya Hawke gives a carefully estimated, spoiler-free update to what she feels is the current filming status of Stranger Things season 5. Hawke made her debut in season 3 as Robin Buckley, a cool-headed and witty colleague and classmate of Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) during his short-lived employment at Scoops Ahoy. Robin became part of the core cast in season 4, as her friendship with Steve and the main party grew while they investigated unexplained murders.

While Stranger Things season 5 is still filming, Hawke revealed to TheWrap that there is still plenty of filming to go. Though filming began in January, Hawke estimated that they had so far filmed under a quarter of the series four months into production. Check out Hawke's full response below:

“We started in January and we’re in the first third. That’s how I’m gonna avoid breaking my contract is by making you do math. We’re supposedly through the first quarter in the first third, but I bet it will go late.”
