"Never Out Of Moves": Jango Fett's New Series Proves He's the Star Wars' Galaxy's Batman
Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for Star Wars: Jango Fett #2
Summary Jango Fett's gadgets showcase his Mandalorian prowess and ensure he always has a move to make, similar to DC's Batman.
Jango Fett's weapons are not a crutch, but a way to adapt and overcome various challenges as a skilled Mandalorian warrior.
Jango Fett always has a backup plan, showing similarities to Batman with his armor and arsenal elevating him as a legendary bounty hunter.
Jango Fett's new series helps prove that he was the Star Wars galaxy's Batman. Faced with one of his biggest jobs before becoming the genetic template for the Republic's secret clone army, Jango is faced with the opportunity to showcase his impressive skills and tools as a genuine Mandalorian warrior. To that end, it's revealed just how prepared the bounty is in (almost) any situation.
In Marvel Comics' new Jango Fett #2 by Ethan Sacks and Luke Ross, the titular bounty hunter is on the trail of a stolen artifact meant to unify the rival peoples of Glee Anselm. While tracking down the sole lead pointing to "The Hope of Glee Anselm", it's revealed that Fett isn't the only one after the artifact, coming face to face with one Vigor Struk. Looking quite formidable in his own right, Struk is less than impressed by Jango's gadgets, though he soon meets his match thanks to the bounty hunter's preparedness and various resources (not unlike DC's Dark Knight).
Fighting Struck one-on-one, Jango Fett proves not only his skill as a Mandalorian but also his exciting array of weapons and gadgets at his disposal such as darts, cables, and something much bigger that certainly helps turn the tide by the issue's end.

Jango Fett Has An Impressive Arsenal Of Gadgets And Weapons
Is It A Crutch?
Initially, it seemed as though Jango Fett's gadgets weren't going to be enough to win this fight against Vigor Struk. Claiming that Jango has an over-reliance on his weapons, Vigor uses brute force to overpower Jango, preventing him from using his hidden vibro-blade and easily blocking his poison darts. Dislocating his arm and striking at his neck, Struk all but incapacitates Jango Fett at the end of this issue.
At the onset, it's easy to see how Vigor might be right in that Jango's tools might be a crutch. However, gadgets are as much of a crutch for the Mandalorian bounty hunter as they are for Batman. Rather than having a sole reliance on them, Jango's weapons simply provide him with greater ability and opportunity to adapt to various challenges. However, that doesn't mean he'd be defenseless without them. The same is true for The Caped Crusader.
Jango Fett Always Has A Backup Plan
(Most Of The Time...)
In the end, Jango Fett's arsenal makes him far more than just a simple man making his way through the universe. His armor and gadgets helped make him the galaxy's most infamous bounty hunter of his era, elevating him to a legendary status. They effectively helped ensure that he almost always had a move to make and a backup plan. That said, one can excuse Jango not being prepared in the Geonosian arena. After all, who could have predicted that Fett would have been trampled by a rampaging reek, damaging his jetpack immediately before having his hand cut off and getting beheaded by a Jedi?
Regardless, the same is true for Bruce Wayne who used his resources and technology to become the legendary Dark Knight. Keeping that in mind, Jango Fett getting the upper hand over Struk by remotely calling his Firespray certainly carries the same energy as Batman calling the Batmobile. While he might not be as heroic or noble, there's no denying that Star Wars' Jango Fett does have some very cool things in common with DC's Batman.
