What Happened In One Piece Episode 1102
Close
In One Piece episode #1102, “Sinister Schemes! The Operation to Escape Egghead”, Kuma was revealed to have sent himself to the Red Line, specifically one of the ports leading to Mary Geoise, and while he was immediately declared to be a threat, it’s still unclear what he’s doing there. Meanwhile, with Sentomaru taken out, CP-0 took control of the Seraphim and all remaining escape routes off of Egghead, so despite Luffy’s previous victory over Lucci, things were still decidedly in CP-0’s favor.
The Straw Hats, Vegapunk, and the Satellites were growing anxious about Luffy taking so long to get to the Labophase, unaware he was delayed due to chasing after Bonney, and there was a back-and-forth on whether or not they should try and fight CP-0. Vegapunk called a mysterious ally on the island for help, but things only got worse when the Frontier Dome suddenly malfunctioned, thus allowing CP-0 to ascend to the Labophase. As all of that was happening, Kizaru was shown commanding a fleet of battleships, and the episode ended with him ordering them to converge on Egghead.

One Piece’s Anime Just Spoiled A Big Plot Twist From The Manga
While One Piece episode #1102 was a largely good episode, one notable shortcoming was how it spoiled a big plot twist from the manga. The manga got away with not doing anything to identify Vegapunk’s contact, but since the anime had to give a voice to their dialogue, the One Piece anime couldn’t avoid spoiling Stussy as Vegapunk’s contact, something that shouldn’t be revealed for several more episodes. It’s understandable why that happened, but it does take a lot out of the impact of the reveal, so hopefully the One Piece anime can do something to make up for that.
Be sure to watch One Piece episode #1103 when it releases on Saturday, May 4.
