While Rachel’s new relationship is a surprise to Vanderpump Rules viewers, her romance began about a year after the fallout of Scandoval concluded. Rachel, who went into treatment in an Arizona mental health facility in mid-Apri of 2023, had originally shared that she wasn’t interested in dating anyone for at least a year. During an interview with Dr. Hillary Goldsher on her podcast Rachel Goes Rogue, Rachel explained, “I'm not dating for a year, and in doing that, I'm just focusing on myself…[I’m] not adding an additional person into the equation, so that it is just focused on me.”

While nearly a year has passed, Rachel’s still primarily focusing on herself in her public life, especially with the legal battle she’s pursuing against Tom, Ariana, and the producers behind Vanderpump Rules. After taking time to heal and process what happened in her life, Rachel has begun the process of pursuing legal action against Tom and Ariana for several different issues, including image-based sexual abuse. While Rachel’s new relationship likely won’t prove to interfere with her lawsuit, the publicity of her case could make her relationship all the more public as Rachel continues working on herself and recording her podcast.

As Rachel continues to heal from the damage of Scandoval, many have been keeping an eye on her online presence to see what’s next for the former Vanderpump Rules star. Without reality TV on her mind, Rachel has been working on her podcast and spending her time creating new connections. With her new relationship on the horizon, Rachel truly appears to be moving forward after a difficult time. Though she’s still working through the legal action against her former friends and Vanderpump Rules colleagues, she’s finally got a new relationship to pour her energy into.

Vanderpump Rules airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on Bravo, then streams the following day on Peacock.
