Summary J.B. Smoove jokes he'd love to be a Bond villain in the future, adding a unique spin on the character with his comedic charm.

While Smoove's Bond villain role may be a dream, it's uncertain if he'll fit in the gritty and intense new 007 franchise.

Despite the end of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Smoove's career is secure, landing roles in Netflix's Good Times and Harley Quinn.

Curb Your Enthusiasm star J.B. Smoove discusses his plans for after the HBO sitcom ends. Known previously for Def Comedy Jam and Saturday Night Live, the comedian joined the Curb Your Enthusiasm cast in season 6 as Leon Black, a man who moves in with Larry David after his family was displaced during Hurricane Edna despite never actually being affected himself, and later becomes Larry's permanent housemate. After 12 successful seasons that aired over the course of 24 years, Curb Your Enthusiasm is finally coming to an end.

During a recent interview with Variety, Smoove discussed his plans for after the Curb Your Enthusiasm ending. Asked if there is another franchise he would like to manifest himself into, the actor said he would love to be a Bond villain and "shoot somebody in the ass." Read his full response below:

I would love to be a villain in a 007 movie. I’d like to shoot somebody in the ass.

What Would A J.B. Smoove Bond Villain Be Like?

Though Smoove was likely joking about his aspirations, his comedic background, energetic personality, and trademark charisma would certainly bring a unique twist to a Bond villain. Given his background in impov and uncensored style, he would be capable of delivering lines with comedic timing that would catch both Bond and the audience off guard. Since Smoove is also known for his stylish attire, his Bond villain would likely have a flamboyant and eccentric sense of fashion that would stand out even among the glamorous world of Bond villains.

It's been reported, though not officially confirmed, that Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been chosen as the next James Bond. Much is unknown about the next iteration of Bond, and even less is known about what villains he may face off against. However, the 007 franchise will likely stick to the gritty, realistic, and intense tone established by Daniel Craig's James Bond movies, instead of the more campy elements often featured in the earlier Bond films. The same goes for the villains, who were most recently played by Mads Mikkelsen, Javier Bardem, Christoph Waltz, and Rami Malek.

Though there likely won't be a place for a J.B. Smoove Bond villain in the next iteration of 007, the actor should be fine after Curb Your Enthusiasm ends. He's had no trouble securing roles throughout his career, including in Netflix's Good Times animated reboot and as the voice of Frank the Plant in Max's Harley Quinn series. However, the end of Curb Your Enthusiasm represents a major moment for Smoove since, as even he admits, he may never find another role like Leon again.

The Curb Your Enthusiasm series finale airs on April 7.
