The Bachelorette Season 21 Isn’t Filming At Bachelor Mansion

While Jenn appears to be headed off to the other side of the world to get lost in romance, what we know about her journey as The Bachelorette is already different than past seasons. Jenn, who is the first Bachelorette of Asian American descent, is making history this season as the lead. She’ll also be hosting the first nights of her season at an entirely new space, eschewing the traditional Bachelor Mansion for one of the first times ever. Jenn’s opening night will take place at Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Santa Susana, California, a beautiful private event and wedding venue.

While Jenn’s season opening up somewhere different isn’t necessarily a red flag or something to be concerned about, it will set the tone for her season being different than The Bachelorette of years past. Though there have been seasons of the series, like Claire Crawley’s, where the Bachelor mansion wasn’t utilized, this season doesn’t seem to have specific reasoning. Bachelor Nation may discover there’s something behind Jenn’s season beginning in a whole new place, but it’s possible the Bachelor mansion itself was simply unavailable for the dates the production would’ve needed it. Only time will tell if it’s something bigger.
As The Bachelorette season 21 gets underway, there are several changes that will make the season look different than it has in the past. With Jenn as the lead, her lifestyle and interests will be at the forefront, which will already make things fresh. As the season will be opening itself up to new locations, it’s possible the Bachelor mansion could be retired after a new venue makes a big impression. Despite some changes, international travel isn’t new on The Bachelorette, and Jenn taking things to Australia will be an exciting trip for the franchise.
The Bachelorette is available to stream on Hulu.
