Incredible Starfield Ship Build Is Straight Out Of A Classic Disney Movie
Summary Crafting your own ship in Starfield allows for creative designs inspired by aesthetics like the steampunk look of Treasure Planet.
User _hell_o's "Black Peach" ship channels the future-steampunk aesthetic of the classic movie Treasure Planet, impressing Reddit users.
While an actual Treasure Planet in Starfield doesn't exist, players can customize their own experience with unique ships and potential mods.
Building one's own ship in Starfield may just be the game's best feature so one talented player managed to create a design that evokes the energy of one of Disney's most underrated animated movies. Embedding itself in an aesthetic developer Bethesda Game Studios describes as "NASA-punk," the look and feel of Starfield is very much grounded in a more realistic take on the future. Yet sometimes, it pays to look to the past for inspiration, even if the result is somewhat unconventional by the standards of sci-fi.
Over on Reddit, user _hell_o shared their creation of a Starfield ship modeled on a classic Frigate, equipped with three massive masts and a wide deck that's pushed through space by two clusters of jet engines.
Named the "Black Peach," the design manages to channel the future-steampunk aesthetic of the classic movie Treasure Planet which includes starships modeled on 18th Century naval vessels that "sail" the stars using solar-powered sails and engines. Fellow Reddit users were quick to comment that it reminded them of the movie, further illustrating its excellent construction.

Starfield Allows Players To Make Their Own Treasure Planet Experience
Cruising Through Space And Hunting For Loot
While _hell_o's creation is by no means the first Starfield ship built to resemble a classic ocean-faring vessel, it's easily one of the best examples of how a talented player can make full use of the game's customization options. The amount of credits needed to purchase each component must have been astronomical and the very fact that the final product is deemed space-worthy feels like a miracle. In any case, it's the perfect ship for adventuring across the galaxy and uncovering all kinds of hidden treasure.
Disney's Treasure Planet, released in 2002, is a retelling of the classic novel Treasure Island albeit with a sci-fi twist. Protagonist Jim Hawkins is roped into an expedition to discover the titular location after stumbling upon a mysterious map and while the movie proved unsuccessful at the box office, it's garnered a passionate fanbase. While an actual Treasure Planet doesn't exist within Starfield, it's not hard to imagine players turning one of the game's hundreds of worlds into their own personal loot stash.
The potential to turn Starfield into Treasure Planet is obviously not lost on the game's community as aside from _hell_o's ship, many fans have requested mods that simply add the RLS Legacy, the main ship of the movie, into the game. While no such creation currently exists for the game, it's easy to imagine some dedicated fan one day making it a reality. It may even be possible to create an entire world based on the golden vault of Treasure Planet itself, but that would take a great deal of time and effort.
