Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga director George Miller teases that there's a fun character Easter egg hidden towards the end of the film. After the positive reception to Mad Max: Fury Road, Miller is set to return to his violent post-apocalyptic wasteland with a prequel that charts the origins of Charlize Theron's Imperator Furiosa. Anya Taylor-Joy takes on the role this time around, with a story that chronicles her life over the course of roughly 15 years.

Ahead of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga's release date, Miller teases in an interview with EW, that Max and his Interceptor car will be visible in what the publication describes as a "blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo." While it doesn't sound like Hardy himself is reprising the role, the Easter egg will speak to where exactly the character is as the plot of the film leads up to the events of Mad Max: Fury Road. Check out Miller's full comment below:

"In doing what we did in the preparation of Mad Max: Fury Road, we also wrote what happened to Max in the year before we encounter him in [that film]. And as we get towards the end of this movie, the chronology... Basically, we had to see that Mad Max was lurking around somewhere because we do know what happened. The writers know what happened to Mad Max in that year before, and we have a whole story of that, which I would like to do sometime if I get the chance."

More to come...
