M3GAN 2.0 has added one of the stars of Disney+'s Ahsoka to the cast. The upcoming movie is a sequel to one of 2023's biggest horror success stories. The original movie followed roboticist Gemma (Allison Williams) giving her newly orphaned niece Cady (Violet McGraw) a robotic companion named M3GAN whose attempts to protect the girl quickly turned deadly. The movie was a smash hit, earning $181 million worldwide against its $12 million budget, so a sequel was quickly greenlit. The sequel was written by original screenwriter Akela Cooper with original director Gerard Johnstone, who is also in talks to direct.

Per Deadline, the cast of the upcoming M3GAN 2.0 has added its first new character. Ahsoka's Ivanna Sakhno has boarded the project in a major role. Details about the character that she will be playing are currently being kept tightly under wraps. She joins a cast that already includes returning stars Allison Williams as Gemma and Violet McGraw as Cady.
