Summary Max appeared as an AI in The Circle, causing an unexpected twist that captivated players and fans.
Jordan on the show received backlash for sounding scripted, leading fans to question his authenticity.
Jordan's aggressive approach, shady strategy, and personal vendetta with Myles could hinder his success in The Circle.
Jordan Staff has been getting a lot of heat online for his introduction in The Circle season 6. The show, known for throwing a curveball at the players, introduced a new twist with one of its players being an AI, bringing a new thrill to one of Netflix's most addictive reality series. The Circle presented Max earlier in the series as a young man in his mid-20s who loved his puppy and nature, making him a circle favorite, with most contestants looking forward to getting close to him.
Max had a sweet personality, leading to a close friendship with The Circle season 6 player Lauren LaChant, who was the most affected after realizing Max was AI. The Circle's Steffi Hill and Cassie Saylor were blocked in episodes 5 and 7, respectively, leaving room for new players, Jordan and Autumn Nielson. Jordan got on board as himself, but entered as Big J, what he looked like before his weight-loss journey. However, Jordan is coming off a bit mean on the show and is getting a lot of heat online.

Jordan’s Responses Sounded Auto-Generated
Jordan is a 24-year-old photographer from Austin, Texas. The Circle star said he weighed 300 pounds but lost 100 pounds four years ago and thought it was pretty interesting to add this twist to his game. He said getting on the show as his old self would help him hide his strategy thanks to his "friendly face."
However, once Jordan started engaging in the game, some of The Circle fans felt that his chats sounded auto-generated. In a Reddit thread started by anonbaby1, some users said Jordan was inauthentic while comparing him to Max, the AI bot. Another Redditor in the thread stated, "He acts less like a human than Max," Another thought it sounded like he was reading off a script.
"Of all the contestants, Jordan sounds the most scripted-like he's reading his lines."
There were incidences where Jordan's responses and conversations with other players seemed either too well-thought-out or like Jordan had a script. After his first voting in The Circle, and the influencers were announced, Jordan noted that The Circle player Kyle Fuller was the only one he didn't think would be at the top. Jordan boasted how incredible his instincts were in figuring out how most of the players in the game were.
His only problem was Kyle, whom Jordan said was the only "anomaly" in his ratings since he hadn't interacted with him yet. Jordan presented his analysis in a structured and calculated way, making him look like someone who had it all written out, leaving too many questions about how strategic Jordan was. The Circle player planned to connect with people and then spread wrong information, pinning the contestants against each other, hoping to place himself at the top.
Jordan Seems To Have A Personal Vendetta With Myles
Close
When Jordan joined The Circle, Myles Reed was his first connection due to his popularity in the game. Jordan got the impression Myles was a powerful cast member in the game due to his ability to block players after being voted the "most human" contestant. Since then, Jordan has become obsessed with Myles and his strategies, making his takedown of Myles his only mission. One fan in the Reddit thread noted, “It’s giving “I must be the only white guy in this game” energy.” Jordan said that he wanted Myles's power.
Jordan Got Into The Game Way Too Hot
Jordan joined The Circle with the right attitude and wanted to "connect with people." However, some Circle fans felt he joined the show too strongly and that his approach was wrong. As a result, this strategy makes him a weak contestant in winning The Circle.
For example, when locking in his choice for the influencer position, Jordan chose Quori-Tyler, AKA QT, in the first position, claiming he wanted to see how she'd react in a position of power. At the same time, Jordan placed Myles fourth since he didn't want "Yung Papi Fuego" high up in the rankings. Jordan didn't hide that he felt threatened by Myles and did everything possible to get him out of the game.
Jordan’s Strategy Is Shady

Jordan might think he has the best strategy in The Circle, but he doesn't. His approach has been somewhat sketchy, making it difficult to keep him on top. One fan from the Reddit thread noted that Jordan's plan to replace Myles was off, and he should have thought of a different approach, like getting him out of the game. "Jordan thinks his strategy is to replace Myles when it's just to get rid of him," they said. Others commented on how he doesn't know how to communicate with other players.
Instead, Jordan focused more on having the contestants spill the tea than on understanding their strategy and how he could learn from them. Notably, The Circle season 6 player has a patronizing tone, especially while speaking about other players. For instance, he stated how easy it would be to manipulate Kyle before sending him a message in a private chat.
The only reason Jordan was DM-ing Kyle was to swing him to his side since he was an influencer then. Notably, some fans accused him of self-hate by calling his The Circle persona his "old self." Jordan also said that before he lost weight, "everyone saw him as a friendly giant," which made some viewers feel like the contestant had some insecurities in the past. Others added that they felt like Jordan was fat-shaming himself, calling it their biggest "ick" about him.
"Jordan gives me the big ick. The way he tries to play sad and lost is just gross. And hopefully unsuccessful."
Fans didn’t appreciate his strategy, especially after he lied about Myles flirting with him to Brandon Baker, AKA Olivia, who thought Jordan was trustworthy. During the "ride or die" episode, The Circle paired Jordan with Quori-Tyler and focused fully on strategy first without forming any friendships. His main goal was to pit people against each other. So, Jordan's biggest issue was his belief that he was smarter than everyone else, which could be his downfall in The Circle and could cost him the win.
The Circle season 6 is available for streaming on Netflix.
