Tammy is a loving aunt to her nephews, showing a maternal side.
Tammy's weight loss journey continues in 1000-lb Sisters season 6.
With 1000-lb Sisters season 6 likely just around the corner, Tammy Slaton recently paid the sweetest visit to her young nephews, and she has never looked thinner. 37-year-old Tammy made her television debut in 2020, alongside her sister, 36-year-old Amy Slaton, as they both embarked on dramatic weight loss journeys. The title of the show was based on the fact that, at the time, Tammy and Amy combined to weight over 1000 pounds, and were both determined to lose weight. The road wasn't easy for the 1000-lb Sisters stars, and Tammy especially struggled to get on the right track.
During the premiere episode of 1000-lb Sisters, Tammy stepped on an industrial scale at a junkyard to learn that she weighed 608 pounds. Though the number upset her, it didn't wake her up, as she continued to gain weight, getting up to 720 pounds at her heaviest. After a health scare, Tammy changed her life, had bariatric surgery, and lost 440 pounds by the end of 1000-lb Sisters season 5. A recent spotting of Tammy suggests that she has lost even more weight in between seasons.

Tammy Looks Thinner Than Ever
A Slaton Family Gathering
In June 2024, Amanda Halterman, Amy and Tammy's 43-year-old sister, posted a TikTok of a recent Slaton family gathering. The get-together took place at Amy's house, and several of the other Slatons were in attendance. The clip opens with Tammy lovingly hugging Amy's 2-year-old son, Glenn Halterman, who eagerly loves his aunt back.
Tammy has explained that she is contractually obligated to keep her weight a secret unless the show's cameras are filming, so her weight won't be officially known until 1000-lb Sisters season 6 premieres, but it's clear by looking at her that she has never been slimmer.
Amy is also recognizable at the gathering, along with her other son, 4-year-old Gage Halterman, and another Slaton sibling, 44-year-old Chris Combs. Though it's not entirely clear, it would also appear that Michael Halterman is also there, despite being divorced from Amy. The post has 42.8K likes.
Tammy Loves Her Nephews
She's Surprisingly Maternal
Close
Though they have three other siblings, Amy and Tammy have always been very close. They refer to themselves as Irish twins, which is a reference to the fact that they were born only a year apart. When Amy announced her pregnancy during 1000-lb Sisters season 1, Tammy was excited for her sister, and she went on to prove herself to be a loving aunt. Seeing Tammy be so maternal is surprising because of her otherwise hard exterior, but she simply melts once her nephews are around.
Will Tammy Have Her Own Children?
She'd Make A Great Mom

Though Tammy has never had trouble attracting men, she hasn't always had the best luck when it comes to her love life. After dating several terrible boyfriends who fetishized her for her size, she finally met a nice guy in 41-year-old Caleb Willingham, when she checked herself into a weight loss facility. The two fell in love and got married, but Caleb sadly died shortly after the wedding, due to health complications caused by his weight. Hopefully, Tammy will continue her search for love during 1000-lb Sisters season 6, so she can have her own children someday.
