The already hostile environment of Ark: Survival Ascended is getting even more dangerous with a new official mod that brings forth perilous additions. The popular survival game by Studio Wildcard is a new and reimagined version of the 2017 game, Ark: Survival Evolved. Within the vanilla version of the game, the new title already brings several modifications to the original, and there are several differences between Ark: Survival Ascended and Survival Evolved. There are even more when considering the game’s capacity to receive detailed mods.

Developed by the studio known as Look North World in collaboration with Wildcard and Overwolf, Enclave: Survival Skywards (ESS) is an official mod for the survival game. The mod’s main new additions bring extra danger to the survival aspect of the title, with more intense aerial PvP combat, and much more.

The official trailer, posted on Overwolf’s channel on YouTube, highlights some of the new additions brought forth with the Enclave: Survival Skyward mod. This includes the addition of several skyscrapers and towers to assist the survival experience, as well as a dangerous fog that lurks near the jungle floor in Ark: Survival Ascended.

Jungle Floor’s Toxicity Must Be Avoided

With the toxicity on the jungle floor in the Enclave: Survival Skyward mod, players are forced to higher ground, represented by the addition of several skyscrapers spread across the map. The idea is to go from skyscraper to skyscraper, either using dinosaurs or ziplines and engage in combat above the canopy. Of course, the jungle in Ark: Survival Ascended is not locked off with the addition of the mod – in fact, despite the danger it poses, players are encouraged to explore it.

Within the jungle, players can find resource chests that can further help them survive. While the jungle floor is toxic, players can explore it by using their masks. These items, however, need to be charged every so often, which means they do not grant infinite exploration abilities. The Enclave: Survival Skyward mod brings forth an extra level of challenge to players, as it ultimately increases the game’s verticality and has them strategize how they engage in battles against other players.

Players also get to rethink how they fortify their bases in Ark: Survival Ascended.
