Stellar Blade: How To Complete “Recruit Passcode Specialists" Quest

Most side quests are pretty straightforward in Stellar Blade, but there are far more tasks than you may expect to complete the "Recruit Passcode Specialists" optional Request. This mission asks you to discover hidden shrines in multiple regions as you explore area maps. With little to no clues about where each altar could be, it can be difficult to discover these locations throughout your journey.

You can find the "Recruit Passcode Specialists" quest on the Xion Bulletin Board, which lists other optional Request missions you could complete for various rewards. However, the quest only appears if you have found a strange altar already around Stellar Blade's expansive region maps. The mission asks EVE to track down the other shrines and decipher pieces of a passcode left at each one.

How To Complete The Recruit Passcode Specialists Quest

Unlock A Shipwreck Container

The passcode tied to every altar from the quest opens a shipping container inside a crashed ship in the Wasteland region, leading to hidden treasure you can collect. This shipwreck is located to the southwest of the Wasteland, toward the corner of your map. Several Naytiba enemies roam the area, so make sure you have upgraded EVE in Stellar Blade enough to take down these creatures and clear a path.

You can travel from the Solar Tower camp toward the crashed ship, or use fast travel in Stellar Blade to reach this location faster while you explore the region.

Discovering the shipping container on the crashed ship informs you that there are six altars you have to find, indicated by the six-symbol code needed for the terminal that opens the container. Each shrine has a Chapter of Trial document you can collect as pieces toward the full code needed. You may need to have certain abilities for EVE unlocked to reach areas where faithful followers have prayed at these altars.

Search For Specific Locations In Different Regions

Only three regions host Chapter of Trial shrines - Matrix 11, The Great Desert, and the Wasteland areas in Stellar Blade. There won't be any indication on your map where these altars may be located, so you need to carefully explore sections of the map that EVE can reach. Descend from ledges, climb up mountains, and use various objects like poles and ropes to traverse parts of the map that may be difficult to reach.

Some sections of a region map may be locked until you alter the landscape through EVE's actions during a side quest or other optional Request besides "Recruit Passcode Specialists."

Chapter of Trial Location How To Find Map Image Chapter of Trial 1 Matrix 11 Go to the hidden civilization in the sewers underneath the main dungeon in this area. The shrine with the document should be on the second floor of this settlement, toward the back of the area behind a gate. N/A Chapter of Trial 2 Great Desert Travel to the northern section of the region, where many destroyed buildings are buried in the sand. One of these sunken structures will have a shrine with the document you're looking for. Close Chapter of Trial 3 Great Desert Head southwest past Buried Ruins until you come across a much larger destroyed building littered with rubble. The altar will be hidden away past a gate in a small alcove beneath some collapsed stone stairs. Close Chapter of Trial 4 Great Desert Use the Hypertube in the northeast of the Great Desert to travel past various obstacles until you reach a small cave underground. A path away from a nearby lake will lead to the shrine and document. Close Chapter of Trial 5 Wasteland Take the elevator from the Eastern Great Canyon camp to the bottom of the cliffs surrounding the area. Travel north along the base of the canyon to find the shrine in a very small cave along this path. Close Chapter of Trial 6 Wasteland Simply walk from the Western Great Canyon camp to a cave alongside the rock walls of the environment, where a small altar and the document can be found. Close

Keep in mind that one of these locations must be found first to make the "Recruit Passcode Specialists" appear on the bulletin board in Xion. Unlike Cans or other collectibles you discover in various regions, EVE does not need to have a double jump in Stellar Blade or other movement abilities to find each shrine. Some enemies may prevent you from reaching an altar right away, so be prepared to fight as you explore.

Use Every Clue To Form The Right Answer

Similar to the Simple Puzzle in Stellar Blade, you have to enter a passcode to enter the shipping container back at the destroyed ship in the Wasteland. However, there are symbols instead of numbers on the keypad, making it difficult to enter the right code without some hints. The Chapter of Trial documents you have been collecting all have different symbols on them indicating what code needs to be used.

You can find the Chapter of Trial documents you've gathered in the "Data Bank" section of the game's menu, under the "Document" category containing other pieces of Log Data, Journals, Messages, and more.

As you can see in the above video by YouTube creator Game Guides Channel, the correct sequence of symbols is β - θ - α - λ - σ - ζ. The number at the top of each Chapter of Trial document indicates where in the sequence it goes when you're trying to input the right combination. For example, the α symbol is listed at the top of Chapter of Trial 3 in your inventory, making it the third symbol in the code.

Opening the shipping container reveals another shrine, with a 7th Chapter of Trial document revealing a final prayer from the same followers who worshiped at the other altars. A chest within the small space contains the La Vie en Rose Outfit, an alternate cosmetic that EVE can equip. Those who complete the "Recruit Passcode Specialists" quest also gain 20,000 Gold in Stellar Blade to spend however they want.
