Hades 2: How To Get More Moly (& What It’s For)
With everything new introduced in Hades 2, it's understandable that players might feel overwhelmed; one new resource, moly, is a lot more important than its small golden leaves might suggest. This resource is introduced pretty early on in the game, but players aren't given a full explanation unless they really pay attention to tutorial dialogue. If you missed the explanation, worry not!
One of the new mechanics introduced in Hades 2 is the conjuration that players can do using the large pot near Headmistress Hecate in the Crossroads. Players will return here after each run, so check it regularly before you head out! While you're there, check out Melinoë's tent and learn a little bit more about our mysterious protagonist. Here, you can use any resources you've collected in the Underworld to conjure rooms, upgrades, and other aids that will help you while you're out fighting hellish enemies.

Where to Find Moly in Hades 2
Moly is a resource that can be found in Erebus, and must be picked up by hand. It spawns randomly in rooms, so keep an eye out for its golden leaves on the edges of the Encounters. You don't need any particular tool to harvest this resource, so don't worry about picking anything up before you head out.
This applies to all the greenery, so whenever you beat a room, make sure to scope out any potential resources that might help you out in the future.
This greenery can only be found in Erebus, so if you're looking to farm it (no pun intended), you might consider throwing a few runs once you get to Hecate's boss fight. Without the right build, this boss can be a tough one to beat, so it might not be worth your time if you're just looking for more moly to fill up your inventory. If you consider throwing a fight to be sacrilegious, by all means fight your hardest against the Headmistress, but know that you won't find moly in the locations beyond Erebus.
How to Use Moly
Moly can be used at the cauldron to cast a few different spells, each one providing a different boon to help you, sometimes indirectly, in your attempts to get close enough to Chronos to kill him. After a run, head to the cauldron near Hecate to see which incantations you have unlocked. Not all of these will require moly, so make sure you have what you need.
Moly is just one of the many new resources and ingredients introduced in Hades 2. With new mechanics, characters, and interactions coming in the full game, players have even more to look forward to in the full release of the game. As you clear different floors of the Underworld, keep your eyes peeled for anything you can interact with. More often than not, you'll be rewarded for your curiosity and your eagle eye!
