V Rising: How To Move Your Castle Without Destroying It

You can now relocate your whole castle base in V Rising. This is a great means of lowering travel times when gathering materials or hunting enemies. Some castle locations are more defensible, which is useful during PvP server raid times.

During the Early Access period, you formerly had to destroy your whole castle to move territory. But, with the full release of V Rising you can now create a Castle Relocation Heart. This structure lets you move and remodel your existing castle without losing anything.

Relocation Heart Recipe in V Rising

You will learn the blueprints for the Castle Relocation Heart relatively early in V Rising’s story. It will be around item level 20 if you are following the recommended quest order. First, you must defeat the Alpha Wolf, the level 17 V Blood world boss.

From there, you must beat two of the these level 20 bosses:

Keely the Frost Archer at the Bandit Trapper Camp.

at the Bandit Trapper Camp. Errol the Stonebreaker at the Bandit Copper Camp.

at the Bandit Copper Camp. Rufus the Foreman at the Bandit Logging Camp.

Technically, you can defeat any two V Blood bosses in V Rising after the Alpha Wolf. However, the three mentioned before are the next direct tier of difficulty. Pursuing other targets, like level 30 Lidia the Chaos Archer or level 32 Finn the Fisherman, are possible, but very dangerous early on in the campaign.

Construct Cost and Limitations

After defeating the three bosses, you will now need to craft a Research Desk from the Research tab of the build mode. Next, interact with the desk one time; you do not need to actually research any technology. Making the station will have its own initial one-time cost, along with additional materials for every Castle Relocation Heart made.

Now, go to any territory not controlled by another player in V Rising. Enter build mode and place the Castle Relocation Heart in a cleared-out square. Most of your castle base will be reconstructed in the area. However, since all territories are different shapes, not all rooms will migrate correctly. Such structures will be found in your Travel Bag and can be placed without material costs. Once you are satisfied with the rebuild, interact with the Castle Relocation Heart to relinquish your old plot of land.
