Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade has opened up about the future of 9-1-1: Lone Star, addressing the delayed season 5 and how the show could progress in the future. The 9-1-1 spinoff has traditionally aired from January until May, however its scheduling was altered following the 2023 Hollywood strikes. Now the show will return in fall 2024, poised to air on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET on the network. As for its parent series, it will be airing on ABC following a network move in its latest season.

Now, Deadline reports that, during Fox's upfront call on Monday, Wade addressed the future of 9-1-1: Lone Star season 5 and beyond. The CEO confirmed the future of the series would depend on how well it performs when it comes back. Check out what Wade had to say below:

Lone Star was was not on the schedule this year because of the strike, and we’re really looking forward to getting it back on in the fall. We are excited about the new season. We’re going to see how that goes as always, and then make decisions on that about the future of that franchise. But at the moment, we’re very focused on that being a launchpad for a new show, Rescue HI-Surf, we’re excited to have it on the schedule.

More to come...
