Summary Elias Toufexis praised Sonequa Martin-Green as the best number one on a call sheet he's ever worked with on Star Trek: Discovery.

Toufexis's character L'ak, revealed to be the Breen Scion, died in episode 7 of season 5, marking his exit from Star Trek: Discovery.

Toufexis also expressed pride in his work on the show, particularly his characters Moll and L'ak, and praised Doug Jones' performance as Captain Saru on The 7th Rule podcast.

Star Trek: Discovery series lead Sonequa Martin-Green is "the best number one on a call sheet" Elias Toufexis has ever worked with. Toufexis plays L'ak, who, along with his lover Moll (Eve Harlow), is one of Star Trek: Discovery season 5's main adversaries. Huge revelations about L'ak were dropped in Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 7, "Erigah": L'ak is the Breen Scion and is directly in line to become the Breen Emperor. Sadly, L'ak died in "Erigah", which puts Moll's future in doubt and marked Elias Toufexis' exit from Star Trek: Discovery season 5.

Towards the end of Elias Toufexis' guest spot on The 7th Rule podcast to discuss Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 7, "Erigah," hosts Cirroc Lofton and Ryan T. Husk asked Elias what he's most proud of from his run on Disco. Toufexis said he's proud of the characters of Moll and L'ak and, as an actor who has guest starred in numerous TV shows, he praised Star Trek: Discovery as the best set he's ever worked on. Toufexis also singled out Sonequa Martin-Green, who plays Captain Michael Burnham, as well as Doug Jones, who plays Captain Saru. Check out Toufexis' quote and watch The 7th Rule video below

I’ve said this in every interview I’ve done: Sonequa is the best number one on a call sheet I’ve ever worked with. She’s the f—- best. Really, the best. And Doug… Doug and I are friends now. I love that guy.

Number one on a call sheet refers to the star or series lead of a movie and TV show, and that particular actor acts as a leader whose behavior sets the tone for the other actors on set.
