One New V Rising 1.0 Update Greatly Improves The Endgame
Summary Rift Incursions in V Rising offer replayable endgame content, easier gear grinding, and valuable rewards.
The update introduced Castle Relocation, improved forging and gemcrafting, and added new challenging bosses like Simon Belmont.
Changes in V Rising's endgame, including stronger gear and future event possibilities, enhance the game's replayability and engagement.
Though V Rising introduced many new features in its 1.0 update, one addition greatly changes the endgame. V Rising is a simple but enjoyable survival game where players take the form of a reborn Vampire. They must then restore their powers by collecting the blood of bosses, strong weapons, and rebuilding their castles. Castles are an important part of the game's survival mechanics, offering a place to hide from the sun and numerous crafting benches for acquiring powerful gear.
Combat in V Rising, while simple, is a fun system that gets more engaging as the difficulty rises. Though other weapons like the Club and Axe are mainly used for resource gathering, they also have different attacks. Thus, it is good to switch weapons depending on what will work best from fight to fight. As the game progresses, powerful, unique weapons with different offensive abilities can be acquired. This type of progression rewards those who are committed to growing stronger and taking on the hardest content.

V Rising New Rift Incursion Event
Hordes And Reimagined Bosses
Close
The new premier endgame system revolves around the Rift Incursions world event. These events take place in the new Ruins of Mortium on the eastern side of the map. They appear in two difficulties, one recommended for players above gear score 50 and one for those above gear score 80. They will start to appear and be trackable for players once they progress far enough to build the Eye of Mortium in their castle.
Rift Incursions will spawn every hour and last for 20 minutes.
Rift Incursions, as they currently stand, are relatively simple but engaging events. Once players arrive, they will have to travel to other small zones around the Rift to defeat waves of enemies. Once the Rift is charged, return to the main point and defeat a miniboss. These minibosses will take the form of one of the bosses already defeated previously in the story, copying their abilities and attacks.
The rewards for these incursions are well worth the effort of doing them. Not only will they have chances of dropping high-level weapons and armor, but tier one rifts will drop Stygian Shards, and tier two will drop Greater Stygian Shards. These Shards are used to craft/repair high-tier gear but can also be brought to numerous Vampire Merchants around the Ruins to purchase broken high-tier gear. This broken gear can then be brought to an Ancestral Forge for repairs.

How Rift Incursions Change V Rising's Endgame
A Focus On Replayability And Rewards
Custom Image by Katarina Cimbaljevic
Rift Incursions give players replayable endgame content in V Rising and an easier way to grind powerful gear. Previously, gear like this was much harder to come by and thus limited the endgame experience. These new systems still incorporate the luck factor some may enjoy, but the shop system is a nice failsafe for those who get unlucky. The shops are balanced by the amount of grinding needed to make a purchase and not ruining the rarity of high-tier gear.
The increased chances of earning this gear are crucial due to their changes. Much of the high-tier gear received buffs and set bonuses that are far more impactful than in the beta. Since the endgame is more challenging, these buffs were necessary, and thus better chances to get them complete the gameplay cycle. Much like weapons, it is wise to switch armor based on the specific fight.
Rift Incursions also give a great foundation for future endgame content. Future Incursions, or endgame events, could have more complicated mechanics or stronger bosses. Additions like this further increase the replayability of content while making events more engaging. Another avenue would be adding events that require parties of players, but this runs the risk of ostracizing those who play solo.

Other Notable Endgame Changes In V Rising
A Well Rounded Final Product
Other significant changes were made to V Rising's endgame to make it more compelling and easier to access. One of those is the new Castle Relocation system. If players want to move their castle, they can place this item in a different location, and it will give them access to everything built at the other castle. This will not rebuild the castle, which will have to be done manually, but it is a massively easier system than breaking down the old castle and moving all the resources by hand.
V Rising's Forge Room, Forging, and Gemcrafting also received some minor improvements. Forging, along with Rift Incursions, will be the best way to upgrade weapons to their maximum potential. Forging is a simple process but will require the Shard and weapons being dropped from Rift Incursions. Gems now have unique perks that will apply to players when equipped and lean into specific character builds. Overall, changes like this play into the freedom given by V Rising, which allows for the multitude of playstyles to all be viable.
The 1.0 update also added numerous new V Blood bosses to the game. One of the more noteworthy endgame bosses is Simon Belmont, the Vampire Hunter. This boss will wander around the map and can periodically hunt Vampires. However, he is a difficult boss as his base level is 80, so it is best to avoid him until equal levels. Also, while unconfirmed, it seems Simon will semi-match the gear level once the player overlevels him.
Overall, V Rising 1.0 added many great additions and changes to the game's official launch. The beauty of this update is how much it did for the game as a whole, increasing the difficulty while also making it more fun for players. The increased strength of Vampire abilities and the weapons that can be crafted go a long way toward the pure fun factor. However, Rift Incursions are arguably the biggest addition that completely changes the endgame of V Rising.
