Will Ferrell will star in Golf for Netflix, marking the actor's first ever scripted comedy TV show. Ferrell is one of the most widely known comedic actors working in Hollywood today. After getting his start on SNL, Ferrell would go on to star in movies like Anchorman, Old School, Elf, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, and Step Brothers, among many others. For the last two decades, however, the actor's talents have mostly been limited to the world of feature films.
Netflix now reveals that Ferrell is set to headline hhis first ever scripted comedy series with Golf. While few plot details have been revealed, the actor will be playing a "fictional golf legend" in the show. Check out Netflix's post on X, formerly Twitter, about the series below:
The Netflix social media post also confirms that the show will consist of 10 episodes, and that it's co-created by Ramy Youssef and Josh Rabinowitz. Knives Out director Rian Johnson also serves as an executive producer.
