This article covers a developing story. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available.

Summary GTA 6 release window narrowed down to Fall 2025, confirmed by Take-Two Interactive CEO.

Rockstar Games introduced protagonists Lucia and Jason in the cinematic trailer set in Vice City.

Fans eagerly await more details, speculated release date remains uncertain.

The release window for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 has been narrowed down further, but may still come as a disappointment to some fans. In December 2023, Rockstar Games provided a first look at the upcoming title in a record-breaking cinematic trailer that confirmed the return to Vice City and the surrounding areas in Leonida and introduced its protagonists, Lucia and Jason, although the latter was never named in the footage. The trailer ended with a vague 2025 release window, and fans have been speculating exactly when in the year the game could be released ever since.

As reported by Variety, Take-Two Interactive's CEO, Strauss Zelnick, confirmed that GTA 6 will be released in Fall 2025 in an interview ahead of its quarterly earnings call for the full fiscal year 2024. Zelnick wouldn't narrow this down further, however, saying “That [announcement] will come from Rockstar and be consistent with the way they are marketing the title”, likely referring to a new trailer with more reveals.
