How To Farm Bones In Hades 2 (The Fast Way)

Hades 2 is brimming with collectible items and materials, with bones easily being among the most valuable. Although the purpose of bones in Hades 2 is not immediately apparent, the material becomes the primary trading currency at the Crossroads. Farming bones fast is essential to help gather other crafting materials and items of higher rarity.

Like boons, room rewards are the most common way to acquire bones. This is not the only way nor the fastest way to get bones. Room rewards are entirely randomized, meaning players cannot control how many bones they may encounter throughout a run. Although all methods have some element of RNG, there are ways to improve your chances of acquiring bones.

How To Farm Bones In Hades 2

Bones in Hades 2 are often gained through room rewards. The bone insignia can be identified by a pile of purple bones leading toward the next room. This room reward appears early and often, but especially in Erebus. If you want to increase your bone supply but have no other means, entering rooms with this symbol should be your priority. This is far from the best way to acquire bones, as there are plenty of different methods that you should try out.

Gathering Of Ancient Bones

The Gathering of Ancient Bones Incantation is unlocked by the cauldron at the Crossroads, next to the Witch Headmistress Hecate. This Incantation bestows a random primary weapon every night with a buff, which grants extra bones after successfully clearing a room.

Even if it’s not your preferred weapon, this is an incredible way to farm dozens of bones without extra effort. A black and red flame will emblazon weapons that have this buff. To get this, you must unlock the Crescent Pick, farm Limestone in Oceanus, and go to the cauldron to unlock the Gathering of Ancient Bones Incantation.

Sell To The Wretched Broker

The Wretched Broker is a vendor that can join Melinoe at the Crossroads after she has performed the Summoning of Mercantile Fortune Incantation. This brings a large Shade near the docks that can help pawn and trade items in your inventory.

If you interact with the Wretched Broker and navigate to the pawn section, you can sell off items in your inventory in exchange for bones. Ashes, Deathcaps, Fated Fabric, Psyche, and more can all be exchanged for this valuable currency.

What Are Bones Used For In Hades 2?

In Hades 2, bones are valuable for trading and purchasing Incantations. Bones are first and foremost used to summon the Wretched Broker. Once the vendor has been added to the Crossroads, you can spend 60 more bones to unlock the Kinship Fortune Incantation.

The Kinship Fortune Incantation will increase the Broker’s inventory with much rarer goods, including more Nectar in Hades 2, to gather more keepsakes.

The Wretched Broker is both the main seller and buyer of bones. While you can pawn off your other materials for bones, you can also sell your bones for reagents. Incantations, weapon upgrades, Arcana Cards, and more require special reagents. Instead of farming in the Underworld for another Moly or Myrtle in Hades 2, selling your unwanted bones to the Wretched Broker is far more time-efficient.
