What Happened In One Piece Episode 1104

Close

In One Piece episode #1104, “A Desperate Situation! The Seraphim's All-out Attack!”, after Bonney discovered the bubble Kuma left behind, it was revealed in a flashback that the bubble contained all of Kuma's memories from before he lost his emotions, something Vegapunk requested as part of an experiment. Vegapunk told Bonney that touching it would bring her nothing but pain, but Bonney could tell that wasn’t true and moved to experience Kuma’s memories in tandem with Kuma’s continued climb to Mary Geoise.

While that was happening, Zoro and Kaku’s fight entered a standstill as Kaku awakened his Devil Fruit, and as they fought, Lucci ordered the Seraphim to start destroying the Labophase. Things appeared to have taken a turn for the worse, but the Straw Hats and the Satellites were surprisingly saved by Stussy, who knocked Lucci and Kaku out with her mysterious vampiric abilities. In doing so, not only was Stussy revealed to be Vegapunk’s secret ally, but it was also revealed that Stussy is a clone of Miss Buckingham Stussy, a former member of the Rocks Pirates.

One Piece’s Big Twist Was Foreshadowed Half A Decade Ago

Stussy secretly being on the heroes’ side is a big twist for One Piece, and it might have been foreshadowed years ago back in the Whole Cake Island arc. When Stussy attended Sanji and Pudding’s wedding, Charlotte Smoothie made Stussy a drink from a giraffe, and that could mean that Whole Cake Island foreshadowed Stussy using her vampiric abilities to take out Kaku years before the Egghead Island arc. If true, it would be another great example of One Piece’s incredible use of foreshadowing, and overall, it will be interesting to see how this twist is developed in future episodes.

Be sure to watch One Piece episode #1105 when it releases on Saturday, May 18.
