Despite Shogun initially being a limited series, FX is planning to continue the show with seasons 2 and 3 in development. Based on James Clavell's novel of the same name, the historical drama unravels a political struggle in the 1600s Japan as Lord Toranaga (Hiroyuki Sanada) tries to overcome his rivals.
Now, according to Deadline, FX has renewed Shogun for seasons 2 and 3.
