While Gerry married Theresa Nist, only to announce their divorce three months later, Joan is now the inaugural leading lady on The Golden Bachelorette.

It’s not a secret that Gerry’s season was highly unsuccessful, and several viewers admitted having been heartbroken since the fairytale romance between Gerry and Theresa was a failure. All eyes are now on Joan, with fans hoping that they can start believing in love again after watching The Golden Bachelorette with her. While wishing Joan good luck for her journey as the leading lady, Nick exclaimed, “May she be a more authentic lead than Gerry.” Nick’s wife Natalie Joy said it “wouldn’t be hard” for Joan to prove that she’s better than Gerry.
