Abi's biggest competition might be Jack Blocker. At first, he was best known for being rejected by the judges at his audition, then being given a second chance when multiple American Idol crew members raised their hands to say they wanted him to be given a golden ticket to Hollywood. It wasn't until the Top 10 and Top 8 rounds at the end of April that he finally had two breakout moments with his covers of Cher's "Believe" and Willie Nelson's "Always On My Mind." Jack peaked at the perfect moment, and he's been riding that momentum ever since.

Sometimes, a singer has a late-in-the-season breakout performance and is able to use that to win the entire show. If that happens again, then Jack will win. However, if it ends up being a long-running frontrunner who's crowned the winner, then the title will go to Abi. Both have delivered extraordinary performances at various points throughout the season. Regardless of the outcome, Abi's performance with her mother will be fantastic to see when her hometown event is shown during the finale.

The American Idol season 22 finale airs May 19 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
