The Golden Bachelorette premieres this fall on ABC, showcasing mature relationships with a mix of Golden stars.
The Golden Bachelorette star Joan Vassos is getting ready to head off to film her journey for love, but before she leaves, she took the time to reunite with two of her fan-favorite friends from The Golden Bachelor cast. Joan, who left The Golden Bachelor season 1 early after her daughter gave birth in a traumatic manner, was still in the earliest phases of her relationship with Gerry Turner when she departed the series. While viewers were just getting to know Joan, they enjoyed what they saw, and when she was announced as the first-ever Golden Bachelorette, fans were thrilled.
Sharing a post on Instagram, Joan explained that she's ready for her Golden journey to get started, but she's thankful for those she got to celebrate her announcement with. "Thank you NYC and @abc for a beautiful week! So lovely to spend time with my @bachelornation family and also meet new friends," Joan captioned her post, sharing photos with her Golden Bachelor castmates.
In Joan's post, she appears in photos with Susan Noles, who recently announced she's dating someone new after a hilarious run-in whilst shopping, and Kathy Swarts, who many thought would become the first Golden Bachelorette. Along with Kathy and Susan, Joan posed with Bachelor couple Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson, as well as Bachelorette couple Charity Lawson and Dotun Olubeko.

Should Golden Bachelor Women Help Joan Vassos On The Golden Bachelorette?
Close
While part of The Golden Bachelor's charm came from the fact that the women were able to be deeply authentic and create relationships with both Gerry and each other, it was clear that Gerry himself didn't get much outside support as the lead. Though the occasional Bachelor Nation alumni came in to talk to Gerry about their journey and give him generalized advice, the camaraderie that the women on the series had with each other wasn't something Gerry was able to divulge. Joan may be offered the opportunity to have the women of The Golden Bachelor help her find love.
While Joan's relationships with the cast of The Golden Bachelor are clearly strong, she was only on the series for a short amount of time, which may have inhibited her from making the same level of connection as some others. Though her relationships may not be as strong, giving Joan the ability to talk to someone outside of producers and the men she's on dates with could be helpful in allowing her to make the right decision for her future. Joan should be able to lean on The Golden Bachelor cast, and will hopefully be able to have that support.
Though Joan's reunion with her former Golden Bachelor cast mates may not be a hint of things to come, her time as The Golden Bachelorette will be incredible for viewers to experience. With Joan in the drivers' seat, the series will be able to showcase new, interesting stories of mature relationships that are being built authentically through the series. Though Joan's co-stars on The Golden Bachelorette may be a bit different than her Golden Bachelor castmates, it's probable we'll see a mix of Golden stars on the series.
The Golden Bachelorette premieres this fall on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
